Creative Licence for Playstation (sort of) | | Markywoos from Worthing, England says (7/Oct/2000): | Although it shows this as 'MTV Music Generator', we chappies from the other side of The Pond know it as 'Music 2000' - a much better name I think (none of this sponsorship nonsense). But anyway, I'm here to tell you what a fabulous piece of software Music 2000 is. As long as you've got the willingness to dedicate time and effort to learning how to use it then you'll get endless joy out of it. It can seem daunting when you first venture into the Riff Editor but it's all worth it in the end 'cos you can get away from those nasty pre-written dance riffs and start making some decent music. Even though the program is leaned towards dance music, it is possible, with much committment, to make 'non-dance' tunes. The real downer, when you get to grips with it's interface, is when you realise that those awful dance tunes in the charts could well be made on this software. Not a reflection on the quality of this product - rather a crushing verdict on the state of popular music. Anyway, this is an excellent title. If you can be bothered to put in the time and effort you will get endless joy out of Music 2000.
