TM4 is way better than the previous one..3 sucked. the handling on the tank is awesome. We got it brand new on ebay for less than $10 including shipping. The only thing is we cant get the unlimited weapons to work. As for the handling on the others its better too. Not really sure about the create a car yet. there wasnt much there we wanted to use. We have the whole collection and 4 is the best so far

Twisted metal 4 adds new cars, new levels,a new story, and a new sound track to the series. Unfortunatley non of these are very good at all. It does have a "create a car" feature, which is lacking in options. The cars are terrible compared to the ones in other games, and the bosses have no storys. Also the annoying sound of rob zombie music still haunts me in my sleep. They even gave him his own car, which is the worst thing in the whole series. The levels are pretty lame. Who wants to play in a giant bedroom? They completely changed the games mechanics, which made the game difficult if you've played tm1, and 2. This game is barely worth the money you spend on it. If you alresdy have one of the previouse, or later games, don't buy it!!!

I'll give you some cheats for Twisted Metal 4!
Sweet Tooth:Start, R1, Right, Right,Left
When you defeat the game with Sweet Tooth or another opponent you can pick all the boses!
I'll give you 2 more cheats too help you beat the tournament!
Infinite Specials:Triangle, L1, Down, Triangle, Up
Kill enemies in 1 hit:Triangle, Up, Down, Circle, L1
If you want the game really really hard!
God Mode:Down, Left, L1, Left, Right
Play the game its awesome I've give you cheats too. Its awesome you get to explode the cars and have lots off fun hope Twited Metal goes up too Twisted Metal 10 don't you well anyways. Play it! Don't listen to any of these other people who say twisted metal 4 sucks it is actualy the best one yet besides twisted metal black but twisted metal black has better graphics because its on the playstation 2 but for the twisted metals 1 through 4 I say twisted metal 4 is the best you can play as some new people and you dont even have to beat the game to unlock the bosses just go to cheatcodes.com or cheatplanet.com and look for the codes to unlock the bosses they rule but you can't see what there was is but isn't it obvious what there wish was? of course it is to become a boss in the twisted metal tournament isn't it that simple? you don't even need to see the ending movie and sweet tooth he rules he has been my favorite from twisted metal 1 all the way to twisted metal black and on twisted metal 4 his special rules because it tracks down people and it is sort of like moon buggy's only better because it goes through walls and hits them with that tri attack thing that lifts them up in the air and burns them and hurts them in other ways to but I am sweet tooth's best fan so ya know ok buy the game it rules!!!!!!

Twisted Metal III and IV would definitely be up there with my favourite games of all time. The gameplay is fantastic - pure, unrelenting, non-stop madness - certain to cheer up a wintery Sunday afternoon.
The blasting of machine guns, the whistling of a ricocheting ricochets, the full blooded death screams - all more than enough to get my tired old veins pumping again. Try hooking your Playstation up to a surround sound home theatre system - TM4 is one of the few earlier games on the market with Dolby Surround. It's totally awesome - you can actually hear those nasty engines and explosions coming up right behind you!
Getting into specifics, here are my only concerns (and remedies of course!) -
1. The levels in TM4 aren't as cool as in III - but that's probably just nostalgia talking. Solution: Play TM3.
2. The create-a-car option is pretty useless. Solution: Don't use it.
3. Sweeeeeeetooths Special is indeed pretty sweet for him - but kind of annoying for YOU (yes, YOU! (pointing) - the person trying to destroy him). However, with a little bit of my trademark sit-on-the-roller-coaster-with-a-freeze-and-power-stockpile-strategy, you can easily rid the world of this naughty bad clown.
So... How's about we make a deal? You go rent yourself a copy of Twisted Metal IV, and I'll puuuuuurchase my self a PS2 and get myself goin' with a little bit of Twisted Metal Black.

this has gotta be on of the best ps games to hit the market!besides the harsh handeling and cheezball firework like explosions,, this game has a whole new line of story in the twisted metal scene.It seems the the graphic change between twisted metal 3 and twisted metal 4 jumps a whole 3 miles! the background music and the suburban like areas makes it look like a crazy carnival of machine guns and flame throwers. this is allout a sweet game!

this game is cool because it is funner than the new one twised metal black. black has good graphics but it is to hard too kill the others but and it has no weapons of good worth i like this one better because not too hard but not too easy and it has cool stunts that you can do and you can create cool vehiclels

What hapepned 989 studios this game is nothing but a load of crap all but a few original characters have been taken out the boards are better than twisted metal III but look at the ending movies theyre all the same and making sweet tooth the main character finally a boss but is no fun at all since his special goes through walls you almost have to use cheats to win one thing thats fun is playing calypso is his nuclear missle lancher its about time they made him a character should have made him at least a hidden car in the other twisted metals and the handling is horrible you barely tap the d-pad and you can start going in a totally different direction and look at mr. grimm he used to be one of the best characters besides armor now he's been reduced to almost nothing 989 studios needs to just throw in the towel and let single trac come back thanks twisted metal black may have just saved the series.

Gamers who dig explosions and destruction should really play this game. Almost every single feature in every map is destructable, most of them reveal weapon pick-ups but some reveal secret locations loaded with goodies. Twisted Metal 4 introduces many new weapons and features. That includes new moves that use the recharging Special Meter. Most of the maps have a lot of sharp turns that makes it hard to escape from enemies.

This Twisted Metal is very challenging as the bosses' were super powerful. They even revived Slamm ! Sweet Tooth was the big boss of the Tournament and even has his own place that was used as the final stage. Auger and Slamm comes together to get your < remove me > at $$ at the oil rig stage !!! They also included cool weapons that were never seen before. This TM also has more secret places and characters than the previous versions.They also included hints before every stage.

Here we go again another a$$ kicking adventure TM4. It all started with Twisted matal 1. Minion was the best of all and for Sweet Tooth he kinda sucked in the beggining.But I thought Darkside was the bomb in TM1.Then there was TM2 and I have nothing to say.Then TM3.In TM3 Sweet Tooth came alive and stated to kick some ass.Also I liked Spectre and I hated Flower Power and Club Kid.Then came TM4 as for Sweet Tooth he dominated and Calypso is trying to get his place back.

This game really isn't worth the money, ya the endings are cool and it has a FEW nice levels it really over all isn't that good. ya ya you can "make your own car" but u really chose 1 out of a few desings and pic a color. the levels really suck. you do the same thing as all the other ones, blow cars up, but now they added these 'mazes' which totaly suck. and the finnal boss is cheap, since his special can go through walls. so really, it is almost impossable to beat it without cheats. seriously, I would recommend Twisted metal 3

Do not get this game wutever u do it will be a big mistake. This is the worst twisted metal yet. You might think its cool because u can create a car but that part stinks. You pretty much pick the size and the color. And the levels are so gay it isnt even funny. So wuteva u do do not get this game. If you wanna check out my other reviews i did one on metal gear sold and syphon filter 4.

This game is only marginally better than Twisted Metal III, and that isn't saying much. I have played every Twisted Metal game to date and I cannot in good faith praise this game. First off any of you have ever played Twisted Metal the first two Twisted Metal games, then you know that francise was nearly killed off by this piece of crap game.
First off when 989 Studios got hold of the series from SingleTrac in 1997, they must thought that improving the graphics would imediately improve the game from the two classics called Twisted Metal 1 & 2.
First off almost all the cars in this game are completely new. The cars they replaced them with (while good looking) were horrible. They got rid off all the favorites such as Spectre, Roadkill, Outlaw, and Thumper (there are many others) and put in their place this pathetic excuses, in which many steal some of the classics weapons. The handling in this game is horrible, but nothing like Twisted Metal III. Plus the areas are not the best in the world either (although there may have been two that were alright).
Also popular vehicles like Mr. Grimm and Warthog appear in the game, but they are turned into crap. Mr. Grimm 's (Grim Reaper)motorcycle is turned into a aweful comtraption called a pirate ship car and is driven by a dead skeletal pirate captain. And Warthog, used to be a army humvee, is changed into a WWI tank that just has got the aweful handling in the entire game.
Also the entire soundtrack has been replaced with heavy metal mostly consisting Rob Zombie (they even gave him a car). No more cool tracks that appeared in the games Twisted Metal 1 & 2 in this game. Plus the game isn't really Twisted at all.
Plus the unlocked cars do not even have bios or movies at all, what makes things worse, the cars that did return from the classics are so screwed up that they just aren't fun, they really killed Sweet Tooth and Minion. In all after spending all that time unlocking the cars, there's nothing really fun to see with them.
Well they only reason why I gave this game a 3 is because the graphics were just barely better than the earlier games, but thats about all. And the create-a-car was OK, but it was seriously lacking. And in closing I will say that Twisted Metal III & 4 nearly killed the series, if the original creators didn't get sick of what 989 Studios did to the hard work and created the best Twisted Metal to date, Twisted Metal: Black.

This game is the best of the series.Its really fun and the endings are cool and every guy has a different ending.Plus theres lots of people to choose and it has an awesome soundtrack from these great bands:Rob Zombie,Cypress Hill(my favoirote band),One Minute Silence and Cirrus.Sweet Tooth brings back the freek show with Twister Metal 4.

nOW THAT sWEET tOOTH is the new leader, you can be calypso with a powerful nuke special, some other peaple are Rob Zombie, The Joneses and evin a Leprachon in an oversized Hotwheel Car...
The sound rocks, you can listen to Rob Zombie,Cypress,One Minute Silence and also many more.
