just to get one point across to all of you people who "dislike" this game b/c of graphics... its on the original playstation...!!! duh the graphics are gonna be kinda bad! but you cannot argue that this has the best plot and hardest monsters out of all of the final fantasy games! PLOT: ok you are an ex- soldier who joins a group of rebels to try and defeat a group that you were once in!!!! how ironic! MONSTERS: well for one thing the first thing you do when you get off of the train at the begging of the game is what??? BATTLE!!!! you meet up with barret and get into a battle right off! the adrrenaline rushes because you dont know what to do (if you havent played before)... and you choose to attack! 2 hits and the soldier falls! the next soldier attacks you and you counter with a lightning magic spell... how cool!!!! anyway back to monsters being harder... just a comparison!!! final fantasy 8 final boss ultimicia is hard only because she has 4 forms... and thats not even that difficult! the hardest monster in final fantasy 8 is without a doubt omega weapon... which is also easy if you know a good strategy (aura, holy war, limit, eden) very easy and should only take you 25 to 30 minutes!!! after playing the game over and over i have gotten it down to an art of 10 minutes!!! back to final fantasy 7... sephiroth is not too hard but is still harder than ultimicia!!! emerald weapon isnt to difficult but OMG ruby weapon can and will kick a veterans a$#!!! it took me so many tries to defeat him and then finally i came up with a great strategy!!! and it still takes me 20 minutes at a minimum to defeat him!!!!! still longer than omega in 8!!! so i guess all in all you could say that i "dont have any good reasons" or something like that... but think about this...final fantasy 7 the first game on playstation and look what evoled from it (8,9,10,11) so just chew on that for a while!!!!! thank you for your time
oh yeah the movies are so much better in 7!!!! and they are making a sequal and a motion picture!!!

Cloud is my favorite character of all time so there is an instant plus. Yuffie is the cutest ninja I have ever seen, another plus. The Final Fantasy series is the best series on the face of the earth, yet another plus. The thing that sets this game away from any other game is the fact that its storyline is the best, the characters rock. Even if it doesnt have Ps2 style graphics, but I love that old anime-style graphics. The graphics are perfect in my view as well. So as you can see ff7 is the best game in the world, no one can change my view, beacuse I am sticking with it.

This game is... awesome. From good graphics to the awesome materia system, excellent story, this game is the NO#1 Final Fantasy. This game is f< remove me > at #$^&% awesome. Anyone who disagrees should be punished. Unlike FF8, you can aquirre weapons instead of remodeling them, and you can use magic without "drawing" it from enemies, Also there is no junction s#$% from FF8 Square indeed hit luck number 7!!!! This is this classic play station rpg!

Final fantasy 7 was the best final fantasy thier is for the playstation.Here are somethings you might have missed in the game.In clouds hometown go into the shinra manson and go to the second floor and turn left go to the room with the safe in it go to the safe and press X.Then go to right 36 left 10 right 58 and right 97 this will open the safe but you have to be very quick at opening the safe becuse you only have 20 seconds to open the safe but when you open the safe you will get atacked if you beat the monster pick up everything then go downstairs and go to the very first door the one thats not at the end of the hall.After you get in thier go over to the coffen and press X the guy will come out of the coffen.The game will give you two choices pick talk about sepheroth after your done that he will go back into his coffen.Then you go back up to the coffen and press X he will come out of the coffen again.The game will give you two more choices pick whats your name then leave the room and start heading out of the building well your doing this the guy will come out and join your party.

People, it's not about the games graphics or things or magic or whatever. The plot is the most important part of what makes a game a good game. I loved FF7 because of the plot and of course the chocobo's!^o^ But it also made me laugh as well cry, my favorite character I will never be able to use because of the villain. But it was because he was manipulated and twisted into thinking he was the heir of the planet. The main herione sacrificed herself for the world and saved mankind! Aeris and Cloud are the true couple of FF7 whether you like it or not. You have to read and pay more attention to the plot and story if you want to know the true couple. I believe in true coupling even if I don't like it.
If you just play the game for fun then your not a real fan. I play because I put all of my thinking and reading skills to the test, it is a strategy game and got me thinking more than school could. Pay more closely to the story and you'll find yourselves in love with the game. If any of you needs a hand with anything on the game then contact me. Final Fantasy 7 was and still is the best game out there in the gaming industries. I was a little skeptical of RPG's, FFVII was my first rpg and I loved it. Since playing the game I have played many other rpg's as well, but none has been most satisfying as FFVII. I am really hoping for a REMAKE for PS2 and a SEQUEL. Talking about the game now really makes me want to go back and play, so off I go :)Final Fantasy 7 was and still is the best game out there in the gaming industries. I don,t care about the graphics I only care about the story. When I first bought the game I didn,t know it would have the legendary sephiroth in it. I fell in love with the story it was about cloud trying to figure out who he was and legandary machines called the weapon awoke to bring chaos and destrction to mankind.Plus magical sages called acients try to open up a land of peace and harmony that nobody has ever been to.There is three different weapons the ultamite weapon and diamond weapon you have to fight but the ultamite weapon stays alive but the diamond weapon will die from good old shinra will take care of him.Also there are two other extremly strong bosses called the emrald weapon and the ruby weapon. The hardest one is the emrald weapon you only have twenty minutes to destroy it unless you have a specail item.When you get the sumbmarine beware of the emrald weapon it will kill you right away with it's attacks. I hope this helps you good luck and good bye.And just for the record you can't bring Aries back to life once sephiroth kills Aeris for good.

I really love Final Fantsy VII game! It's exiting, funny 'n' full of action!
My friends doesn't play games too much 'n' they 'jess can't understand why I love this game.
Final Fantasy VII has beatifull music. Many placas are soo beatifull! The graphics aren't so good but it really doesn't matter.. The movies are very good bonus for the game.
There's lot of thing to do in the game. And I love those little 'jobs'. For exempel: getting the Golden Chocobo, killing Ruby 'n' Emerald Weapon, 'n' so on. I've done every singel thing what exists in the game. I wonder if theres anything more to do...
The charters are lovely. My favorite is Sephiroth. Cloud 'n' Aeris are nice too. I think Sephiroth is cute.. ;) It's sad he's suck a mad... And it isn't even his fault. heehee...Sephiroth's theme is wonderfull.
one BIG point to the Final Fantasy VII game is that Aeris dies. She's one of the most lovely charters. It's very goog idea that she gets killed by Sephiroth. In many other games the main charter never dies. But FF VII is different.
FF VII is very popular and I ain't suprised. Those who hasn't tryed playing Final Fantasy VII should really try it and fast!

This isnt the best final fantasy but it it pretty good. it is a whole lot better than ff8 but it is still a little too fururistic for final fantasy. and i dont like the fact that anyone can learn any kind of spells square should keep it so that only one type can cast a certain types of spells such as black mages casting black magic and white mages healing. but all in all it was pretty good. if it wasnt for the story and fmvs it would suck but its pretty cool. if you have yet to buy your first final fantasy get number 9 its the best one yet.

Now don't get me wrong I have played all of the Final Fantasy Games up to this point, and I find them all original and very cool in their own respects, but Final Fantasy 7 is just the best. The Materia System was a great upgrade, and the story line left me feeling empty when I beat the game. The graphics at the time of release where the best. Overall I think it is the best RPG ever made, and the very least for the playstation. I also find that the series is making a very drastic turn in the wrong direction. Going online is the worst thing to ever happen to the series, and I've very sad to say I believe we have seen the best, and that would have to be Final Fantasy Seven.

This is one of those games that make you wanna play it again and again and again. I find the graphics totally excellent! The gameplay is also one of its fantastic features, because when ya play the game, it almost feels like you have merged the game, like youre really in it. The music and sound is wonderfully well chosen for each area or event in the game. And there are many mini-games in it as well, like motorcycle riding,snowboarding,sumerine attacks,battle contests, and many more. Being so popular, it should be Re-released! This game is probably one of the best games ever and will always be remembered.I only have 2 complaints.number one are the graphics,even though its only a ps game they could have spiced up the world map allitle more.and second i think they could have made it alittle harder ,the only hard parts were when you had to fight the ultima weapons,sephiroth,and find the lunar harp.I also think they confused some of the people out their with the story of the ancients.overall this is by far the best ff game(ff 8,9,and 10 totally sucks if your wondering)well thats it,cloud rules and peace out.

This game is by far THE best I've ever played and no matter how better the new editions of the final fantasy series get 7 is unbeatable.
It has an amazing soundtrack, loveable characters, breath-taking fmv, mind boggling story, and lots of fun side quests to add to the already long game.
I'd recomend this game to anyone who appreciates a good well produced game.

This is by far, the best game ever conceived by man. It had a great storyline, great characters, and for the music, well, it just got better! The only real downside to this game is the fact that it is for PSX, so the graphics aren't all that great, but hey, when you have a game like this, screw the graphics. And plus, it has the BEST villain in a game, referring to The Amazing Sephiroth. His sword is so frickin' big! And so is Cloud's, but Sephiroth is still the best. Original? Definitely. FF8 kinda went along with the same storyline as FF7, with Squall being a mercenary and all. I don't exactly know what ' lifespan' is, but it was really fun to play, especially once you get all the extra items and stuff. ( YAY FOR THE GOLD CHOCOBO!). You can even breed a SILVER CHOCOBO, and the strategy guide doesn't even tell you how to do that! Kids, BUY THIS GAME!

This game is my favourite game in the final fantasy series sure the grapics aren't that great but if you look at the movie sequences there amazing your always in control.I love it WHAT A STORYLINE yeah i know it's all this save the world stuff but it rocks and the story is so much more complex then it actually seems! The materia is so cool and the summons are funky! NOW COME ON you have to admit it has the coolest villan EVER!I suppose the good guys are cool to but nowhere near as deadly as Sephiroth.It's also great in this game you go into thecharcters backrounds and there mind seeiously you haven't played a game till you've played Final Fantasy 7!

Personally I think SquareSoft© is the greatest video company out there, on any game they make, Final Fantasy Just happens to be their greatest, and my absolute favorite game of all time.
My goal is to obtain every Final Fantasy Game ever made, English-Japanese.
but anyway back to the game.
The Game its self is remarkable, and the story lines are always fun, exciting and mind boggeling, and challenging to some extent.
wich is what I love about Final Fantasy.
FFVII has great graphics for its time, the music is wonderful, as it is on all FF's, they need to make a Final Fantasy Collection Set for PS2, have all games on Disc's thats what I want.
but everytime I hear Final Fantasy ** I always hope their lying lol.

Words can't describe this game.I just beat after a month of hard work and it is the best RPG game ever!!! The graphics aren't that great but screw the graphics the gameplay is awesome.The music track is what I think the best ever for the Final Fantasy series.And I love how the charaters have much depth and feeling and how their pasts tie in together.Now that I beat it I feel so empty but now that I beat it I feel that part of the game is prt of me.Oh yeah just wondering at the end when there is only a endless screen of stars does something happen after a while or is it just the same?(I know the answer but if there is something please e-mail me)

From the beginning of the game, and i mean right from the introduction, I was really impressed with the detail and the graphics of this game. The story throws a line and grabs you until the very end. I found myself up till 3am some days just to find out what happened next. The 3D graphics on a 2D background, however, didn't impress me too much. FFVII's battle system was the first thing I was really inpressed with. The only Final Fantasy Game I had played b4 this one was FF1 (The orginal NES version), and i found that impressive for its time. The battle system on VII is one of the best I've ever seen (Except for Sony's Legend of Dragoon). The time guage was a very innovattive piece of technology. This meant you were actually playing real time and you had to pay attention. I found that outstanding. The graphic during a battle are quite impressive as well (especially Cloud's little Sword Twirl at the end of a battle). The thing i hated about this game as well as any other modern Final Fantasy is the Save Point. Why can't you save anywhere. I guess that keeps you playin the game but I was afraid of melting my PSONE disc (the Playstation gets a little warm after 4 or 5 hours of continuous game play). The music on this game is what's keeping this game rating of mine at a 9 (otherwise it would have been a 7). The music for this game is the best ive ever heard. That really brought the whole game together. The replay value of this game is quite high id say. Overall, i think this was a very good game developed by Squaresoft.

One of the best games, no wait, the best game I've ever played. This game is so fun. Chocobos, gold saucer, monsters, and the most original storyline will keep you playing, well at least it kept me playing. Final fantasy 8 and nine had the card game, but its not as fun as chocobo racing, or riding the roler coster at gold saucer, but that's just my opinion. Everyone complains about the graphics, but hey! it was a 1997 game! But you have to admit, the little squares for hands are pretty funny looking. But the battle sequence graphics are pretty good. I laughed when the flower lady died, f.y.i! lol! This game had a cool storyline. It didn't get dull, it wasn't pointless, and it had an awesome ending! oh and if you just beaten stephiroth keep on watching after the credits, like its not the greatest apple in the pie, but its pretty kewl! Don't forget the hidden characters, I don't really care about yuffie but vincent is kewl! he was a turk yah know lol! I hope you all enjoyed my review! I'll get out of your hair now! :)

This is the best game ever even though I can't get past the Carry Armour on disc 2 but I don't care really.I loved Disc 1 and the beginning of Disc 2.You wouldn't expect half of the things there.I have started about 17 game and I only got on to disc 2 once.I really recommend this game Because There is alot of fun mini games and a great story Plus once you start you can't stop.I have played for about 30 hours.I am like the only Final Fantasy freak in my house.I tarted at FFVll and then moved on to FFX and X-2 and I am trying to get my Hands on FF8.If any one can help me with the carry armour on disc 2 contact me!I have already tried some strategys off the computer.Or you could tell me websites that are good or you could tell me how you did it.I have tried to defeat it alot of times!But I only have my chracters on 49 ( Or somewhere around there)So e-mail me and pass on the word about the worlds greatest game.Ever in the history of the universe.
