This game is alot of fun because of it's new attack system and because of the Additions that you can get the cinematics were alright but for all you ff fans you know that ff titles have way better and longer cinematics. the graphics kinda SUCK but aren't super bad. The Dialoge is a little small for the those people with glasses. I would say that this game is a good game to play if you're more an action game player instead of an RPGer. I would like to see the ff series use this type of battle system, they would then be able to sell this to a larger group of people.And for you who say this game blows all ff's out of the water I would fist suggest you try the whole ff game instead of only not gettin past the first. I do like this game but it doesn't match up with the ff series YET but could easily do so if square soft doesn't make a new battle system soon like in FFX.

This was the best game I have ever played (and yes, you can pause it Xeifer, just push triangle you doof, but it doesn't matter cuz your time is still goin while its paused...) Not all rip-offs are true. If Sony made both of the games (LOD and FFVII), then why everyone say that its stealing!? Listen closely ppl...THEY WERE MADE BY THE SAME $#< remove me > at !ING COMPANY Legend of Dragoon did NOT copy any FF games, even though some of the characters and the storyline might be the same at some parts. Also, Tifa is NOTHING like Shana-Tifa fights with her fists, wheres tanktops, while Shana fights with a bow and wheres sleeve shirts. So all of you lovers of FF (like so obsessive that you daydream about the games) lay off this game cuz its way better than ALL of the FF games. And i hope Sony makes a LOD2 soon, cuz its my favorite game. And screw you final fantasy loving creeps...

I love this game it has a great story line.The gameplay in battles is excellent I love the having to hit buttons to do an attack instead of the usual Rpg game where you just pick an attack and press a button,I think the battle system on LOD is alot more challenging and fun.The CGs are wonderfully made(what few of them there are).Its a pretty challenging game,I beat it in about 30 hours so unless you suck pretty bad you shouldn't take much longer than this.This is definately a great game for the RPG fan.The whole idea of your characters getting Dragon spirits and transforming into Dragoons is really cool and definately very original,there isn't enough magic attacks and abilities on the game as I would like but I can't hold that against the game.So my advice is at least rent this game and you should love it then buy it.I hope they make a second one soon.

Quit basing this game on other games would you guys just for a few... This game was started before many FF games. Where in FF7 do you get to do many hit combo's?? Can be annoying if you can get them, but that is the fun of learning. The level system is better also, you dont finish the game off at level 99, this game is based more on REAL RPG, you know the ORIGINAL D&D! Not some twisted sci-fi rip off of D&D. This game has good graphics, but graphics dont make game. Look at FF8 great graphics, story line was worse than 7's but all in all I think Legend of Dragoon has been one of the few good RPG's produces since the Nintendo day of Dragon Warrior. If you dont like the game then go get some poor story line, good graphic that is a rip off of what RPG should be made of. I wish people would put more into storylines and less into graphics...

When me and my sister bought this game, we had no idea what we were getting into. We started it the following day, just to check it out, and ended up playing for almost six hours! We were hooked. Though I haven't quite finished it yet, I say it's the best RPG game I've ever played. Going against some of thereveiws I've read, I'd say that LOD is the best RPG game I've ever played. The little movie parts they played were great. I like all the characters, but I think Lloyd or Rose might be my personal favorite. The character developement is pretty good, though a lot of people say the brother-sister antics of Dart and Shana's relationship gets a little annoying. The only reason I give this a game a 9 outta ten is because the music does tend to get a little monotonous and irritating;). Otherwise, I would recommend this game to anyone!

The Legend of Dragoon doesnt make any sense, in my oppinion it sounds better saying Legend of the Dragoon... I just started playing this game, and so far i really like it, my chars are only lvl 20 :P, and right now im on the ghost ship trying to get that damn combo for that chest...(if any of u kno the combo send it to me at mocho_man36< remove me > at hotmail.com pllzzz :P) But yea, neways, i love this game so far...the graphics are kinda good...just like FF9, the graphics in the gameplay are all cut, but the movies arent, they're all perfect :P, hmm yea, so i love it, and anyone who doesnt, can suck a big fat one...u kno what i mean! SO yea, all rpg's rule, the FF's are ok..the only one i didnt like was ff8...i tried it at my friends house and hated that game...the only ff's i really like are ff7 and ff9..beat both of em of course...so easy

To beat the Divine Dragon u must not transform in2 dragoons or tha dragon can do more serously damage!!When i was fighting him,i transformed in2 a dragoon all of them and then that Divine Dragon just kicked me and it did 10500 damage 2 every1 in my party!So thats y DON'T TRANSFORM IN2 DRAGOONS!And pick the strongest Adddition of Dart like "Crush Dance"!It does 250Damage!And also choose Albert,Dart and Kongol 2 beat this hard monster!It took me 22mins. 2 beat this dragon!Keep on using additions 2 kill this dragon!When your on yellow or red of HP just keep on guarding and make sure u bought Angel's Prayers!Guard alot with Albert and Dart!When Kongol has Blue Hp,then start attacking with additions!I'm also stuck in the game!I have 2 reach the Town or City called SnowField but i can't and don't kno were the exit is 2 the worldmap!

This is your average rpg game with a large twist. The characters can change into cool dragon-human creatures with super strength. The battle style is different from most games with additions to attacks magic without and with transformation and a few other little secrets. It has four discs with a $hit load off playing time and an entricate plot you wouldn't belive. Unlike most American games it has about five hundred different creatures and a hundred of those are bosses. You'll almost never find the same creature in two areas although you may find two of the same type like plague and normal rats. This game is extremely hard (which is part of the fun) but is beatable with time so it's not for little wusses who don't like sitting for hours glued to the screen. GET THIS GAME, it's cheaper than most but kicks serious < remove me > at $$!!!!!!!

I found my response to this game to be somewhat mixed. The originality of the Dragoons is great and very refreshing (after having played FF) but there were just too many things I found annoying. For example, with the volume of items you can acquire, only being able to carry 32 items is highly frustrating. Also, the game is way to complex. There are so many characters to develop and the combination skills, though original, are very hard to do with some characters. The storyline is somewhat confusing at times but has several nice twists (i.e. The Black Monster being good not evil) and it is very thorough. I must admit I have not completed the game, though I'm on Disc 4, I found I lost interest and did not feel attached enough to the characters to want to finish it. Overall, a good attempt but it will never be a "classic".

I first saw legond of Dragoon in a demo disc I got in a magazine.
I found it And started to play it.WOW It was the best game i have played I had to have it so i went out to buy it!The Graphics were Unreal it was so realistic i could'nt belive it!Besides the great graphics the gameplay options during a battle are Amazing.It is one of a kind.The chracters are simply uniqe and the fun factor of the game is enough to keep you playing hours at a time.The Storline of the game is also another part of how great this game really is.It is something I garentee you have never heard!It's enough to keep you on the egde of your seat wondering just what will happen next.If you like Final Fantasy you will play this and like it better.It is The greatest game I have ever played because the unique qualitys of the gameplay!!!!!BUY it Today!!

Ok. Whats this whole deal about it being compared to Final Fantasy???? I think this blows the lid off of RPGS completely. The graphics, movies, battle system, I could go on forever listing the good things about this game. Most people have gotten use to the stupid Final Fantasy Series, which I do like but these people look for things to compare this game to, to make Legend of Dragoon look bad. Oh big deal Dart has blond hair like cloud!!!! Who gives a crap,I mean should he have purple hair??!! I mean its like saying that if I have blond hair and you do, then you copied off of me!!! If you guys don't like the game so what, sony helped make FF 5,6,7,8,9,10, and soon 11 and they also made LOD. All they did was take ideas. So I think those people should shut up because they have no idea what the hell they are talking about.

Listen up peoples who say that this is a game of the FF Series. this game kicks the living day lights out of the WHOLE FF series, thats right LOD is better then all of the FF games. Th additions are a little hard to master but if you get them down, youve conquered most of the game. the thing i love about this game is you have to be at certain levels to beat certain bosses. The graphics could have been better though. The only thing that made me give this game a 9 and not a 10, is that the characters are like the ones out of the FF series, it make sinces listen:Dart-Cloud, Shana-Aires, Kongol-Barret, Lavitz/Albert-pilot....so on and so forth. LOL, if this gma espent a little more time on the game graphics and not forever on the movie graphics it would be awesome. But the LOD Battle graphics are pretty good.

I'm pretty sick of seeing everyone compare games like Legend Of Dragoon to FFVII. Dragoon is far superior in almost every respect but mainly in the fact that it isn't completely linear like FFVII. Most 'real' rpg game players know what I mean. Sure FFVII looks nice but the game play is sub par. When I play a game I want it be fun and use some brainpower...not just follow a mindless route you have little control over. Dragoon is everything a great RPG should be.
Near impossibe bosses, great storyline, shocking twists, cool battle scenarios, awsome CG graphics and cool character build-ups. The main difference between this game and FFVII is one game is geared towards being a real RPG while the other (FFVII) is trying too hard to be a frickin movie...and in th end, that's all it is.

this was one of the best games of all time. alot better than most final fantasy. Awesome storyline it does get mixed aup a lil bit. The charcters and the transformation was awesome. It waas a long games and it was a hard game. Which makees it even better. If u hated this game stop playing games cause u don't derserve too if u hated this game. FF7 is the only final fantasy that can compare to this game. it stil comes up short a little bit. If u find a better game tell me and i play it and say its not better. They should come out with a sequel to this game. they should make a prequel bout you playing in the dragon campign would be awesome. Tell me if this review helped you out at all. the movie scenes and the voice overs were really good but could of been better though.

LOD is a really fantastic and great game. Not only was it cleverly put together, but the dialogue and story that the game has makes it quite popular (for many reasons). I'd have to say that the major flaw of the game are the glitches with the voices matching the text, (ex: Albert's Blossom Storm/Flower Storm addition) but everything else is pretty good. One thing that this RPG may lack is the quality of the music, and although the game follows an intersting story, it tends to slow down as you progress through it, and it drags on making it a little boring.
(That and, all you people who say this is better than FF...You couldn't be more wrong.) Final Fantasy, on the other hand, keeps the person guessing and enjoying the story...But hey, it's still one of my favorites.

When i first saw this game being played it looked like just another thing that might make my summer more interesting. I had no idea it would be this great. I found myself playing this game as perfectly as i could to get the best out of it. My friend and i both got the game and played it together even in some places over the phone. This game was so fantastic i have been scanning the internet trying my hardest to see if they have made a sequal. What the hell are the people at sony thinking. They have made 3 final fastasys before even preposing to make a sequal for LOD. Please dear god make a sequal because i am ready for another fun fulled adventure with another amazing ending. (i actually cried after the ending) Please make a sequal, a die hard fan. Brendan

I beleve LoD is not a rip-off! LoD Is the best RPG i've ever played! The graphics are awesome. The characters were Cool!
-Dart, the lead hero is awesome. I liked his Dragoon magic attack, "Final Burst". He needs to stop thinking of Shana as a baby sister and realise her feelings for him.
-Lavitz Slambert was a great character. He was Dart's Best friend, he was the Leader of the First Knighthood, Killed by Lloyd The sword master. Lavitz is a strong knight, but fate got to him before he could fulfill his mother's wish to hold a grandchild in her arms.
-Kongol is super-strong! I noticed a strong enemy when i was wiped out the first time fight! He needs to extend his vocabulary, though.
-Doel is really hard, and i can't beat him.
This game is the best!

The new consept of addition is very cool that makes it very different from Final Fantasy where you just press ,attack and it always do the same attack. Also the dragoon thing is very cool. You can choose from magic to attack,and you do the whole difference on your attack. You also have magic items that, to increase the power, you have to press x really fast for a better attck My brother said that final fantasy is the original RPG and this is a total ripp of. But I say that there is absolutely no ripp of. Ledgend of dragoon is a completly new kind a game. The grafics are really goods the only things I dislike are that you can only have 32 items and that you have too much caracter to play with so some will level up more often than other

First of all i am going to comment on the fact that this game does have a gf type figure and ne one that says that it doesn't is horribly mistaken and i think hasn't even beat the game past disc one and then my friend you are pathetic. This game has many mini quests that fit well into the ultimate plot. That graphics where the best for when it came out so you have to give it some credit there. In my opinion it is the second best game i have ever played. It is up there with Zelda, Devil may cry and Final Fantasy. ANd just to give some tips to you people that are playing it for the first time or eeven there 10th time the best party to have in the end is Dart, Rose and Albert.
