THE graphics stink i give them a 2 and the controls are hard to figure out i can only do a pnch combo i dont no any of the moves the coms use to kill me. the only thing gpood about this game is that the characters are so cool. theyu got all the new chars. If all the new chars were in dbz budokia than it would be awsome cept it would be sold out in a day. Dbz budokia has greata graphic good controls too and a skill list so u can check how to do the moves. If the new chars were in budokia it would rock!!!!

The good: Lots of characters compare to other dbz game out there.
The bad: Game is so slow. They're so slow like that street fighter with no turbo. The combos arent good either. All I see are punches and kicks. The voices sucks. For example, if you pick Gohan, you'll hear him say "quack quack quack". I have a better DBZ game and its called DBZ Final Bout. It is better and it is similar to the Budokai graphics with the combos of like Bloody Roar game. The only disadvantage is the text is japanese. So overall, DBZ UB 22 sucks!. They should upgrade, at least make the game faster or something.

This game is not only easy to grasp and loyal to the cartoon show, but unlike the other reviews, I think that the techniques are easy to do. The kamehameaha is just 'square four times and circle'. The other techniques may be hard to do but once you pick them up, almost every character has the same buttons to do the same kind of move, so you aren't just good with one character but all of them. What also helped me like the game is that the music they picked, seemed to match the game and the emotions of the characters, unlike some of the other dbz games, but the thing that made this game a little bit crappy was the voices of the characters. Although they had subtitles, (which were never even proper Engilsh anyway) it being in Japenese made it rather weird, and the high pitchness of the voices made the chracters seem weak and pathetic. For example, when you first complete the game and Gohan finally destroys Cell, you hear Gohan say he is gonna die and then, like the carton Goku speaks, and its a sad but brave moment, but with the game the voice of Goku made me laugh rather then be serious. The only other bad things for me, are the fact that it ends at the Cell Saga. That was a complete mistake because not only does it make the story mode shorter, but Majin Buu is obviously the best character in the whole game. He is so cool and funny, (I mean just look at him, a big fat pink baby and yet he is so strong he could kill you by breathing) and he should have been put in, not only that but in taht saga there's about 10 different buu's (majin buu, evil buu, strong evil buu, buu absorbed gotenks, buu abosorbed piccolo, buu absorbed gohan, hulking buu (after abosrbing the South supreme Kai) and then there's kid buu, and if you want to think of it like that, Uub is also a buu.) and then there's vigito and gotenks, I mean if they had of added the buu saga then this game would have been the best I have ever played. Another thing that annoyed me was the graphics as they could have been a tad more realistic but other wise the characters, gameplay and story make this dragonball gme probably the best one ever and I would certainly go out and buy it as the good opinions totally outway the bad ones.

this game is a very good game. the graphics are a little bad but it is still a good game. the poeple who say it is bad come on poeple it`s a japaese import and it was made 8 years ago. my favorite part is the torniment mode i made me stress out.Do not believe those poeple who say it is bad they probably don`t even have the game. believe i have the game and it is awsome.

just finished the game in 1 week and still im addicted to playing this dbz game. best game for dbz fanatics around the world. bad graphics but the whole game backs it up, i give this game 2 thubms up. I had this game burned for my psx and i did all cheats like ub27 and it made the game even better.I played budakai and it has good graphics but the fighting style in that game is not as good as the dbz ub 22.

I thought the game was kind of ok, playing and seeing the characters I couldn't get in Budokai. The characters techniques is really old school coputer graphigy. But the only thing I like best about the game is the characters. Besides all that, Dragonball z Budokai is the best DBZ game yet.

i think that out of the many dbz games i have played this one was pretty good. there were a few problems i saw though. the first was the diffuculty to nail the techs. they were good techs but hard to use. the grafices of the game were pretty nice. they reminded me of the early fighting game years. the range of caracters was awesome. i havn'e seen a game with so many, and all with at least 2 or 3 of there own moves. again, the moves wee hard to nail but ood none the least. i htink his game deserves my rating, good but not the best.

I love the wide range of charactors and attacks,both hand-to-hand and energy.I don't care that the energy balls look like fireballs,I think that in a way that it looks kinda cool.My favorite caracters are Dabura,all three of the Goku caractors,and Vegeta.I would recamend this game to every dragon ball z fan that would respect it.

This game is a really good game in some respects but what lets it down is the almost impossible to do special moves like Kamehameha, the combinations are too complicated and hard to do and when you press them right it wont work because you havent done it fast enough. But besides that its great because of the huge variety of characters including 7 hidden characters.

this game is not a good fighting game but if your a dbz fan then get it cause this has from kid Goku to super buu and the attacks are awsome and voices a ther kinda dumb but its cool and another cool thing is that thy give you a code to unlock exstra characters and two more thing is the graphics are kindda dumb and the attacks are hard to use but besides all of that its a cool game.

Ok i have a lot of reviews of what people have said about this game the graphics are bad well i mean comeon it was made in 1995 u cant expect ps2 like graphics for a game made 8 years ago, Another than the graphics and sound the game is just plain fun i mean it has so many characters and the controls are good u can build your character up and i mean it doesnt compair to budokais graphics but it shouldnt i mean ultimate 22 is an 8 year old ps1 game and budokai is a 6 month old ps2 game its wrong to compair i mean just cuz there is no story mode i mean all budokai did was take alittle part of the tv show and have a cheesy movie and an ok fighting system while ultimate 22 has a unique and fun fighting system i mean dont get me wrong i enjoy budokai i just didnt have that much fun with it but i had more fun with ultimate 22. I recomend this game to any dbz fan or any fighting game fan cuz the game just plain rocks.

this is a great game . It is so much better than Budokai. the graphics are sort of lame ,but the characters are awesome. the combos are easy to master ,but the attacks look the same. the sound is amazing and the areas are sweet. People who say this game is horrible are wrong take advice from a dbz expert.If you are a true dbz fan you will get this game and enjoy it. don't listen to the people who say it is a waste of money cause it's not. Igave it a 10 cause I say this is one of the best dragonball z games ever.

Ok first of all the game is great and I don't go for graphics unless it looks like a pac man game but there's so many differnt characters to choose from and you can get character that you couldn't get from other DBZ games but the backgrounds kinda suck and so does the music but I like the game one of the best fighting games i've played and the game isn't easy to beat but who buys a expensize game and beats it in a hour and there's nothing more to do thats why i like this game there so much to do I would think all DBZ fans would get this game casue it's the frigging best game there is

This game has it all except well for sound and graphic. The gameplay isn't hards to master your just not being reasonable some of you. well i see the problem with the backround they suck. the sound is kinda repetative and it isn't really fighting music. it is areally fun game and shouldn't be shunned on the fun factor. i say that it is as good as budokai, and the characters are cooler like SSj3 goku and vegeto and marjin buu. the game has a factor of 'i want to play it again and again'. the gameplay is kinda weird and a bit wodden and some aspects like the fact that there is noo blood or much body language when you are hurt but the game has potntial for a seqel. but the fact is that it is a great game and that a true dbz fan will not be dissapointed. But for all u teken boys and girls go home as u would notunderstand the true dbz feeling to this game as kicks ass and will be one of my favourites for a while to cum. it has a long life span as u just keep coming back to beat the hell out of your enemies. So buy it enjoy it and have fun.

come on guys! i mean, Yea the graphics aren't spectacular , and yea, the backgrounds were cheesey, but you got to admit, this game kicks butt! As if 22 characters weren't enough, there's a code for 27 fighters! okay. Master Roshi doesn't fly or charge, and No, neither can hercule, but master roshi always takes people by suprise with his teleporting and hercule has his 4 missle launch that have devistating results! i see how ya'll hate the energy blasts welllll..... Get Over It!! they aren't that bad! i think ya'll are just looking for a reason to dis this game! the fighting techniques on vegeto are awesome and i even found moves that weren't in the books! overall this game is a success!

Most games (tekken for example) were good but not the best when they first apeared on the playstation format. I am a die hard dbz fan and do think that the game needed to be tweaked. However they have a poor chance of repeating the same problems if they decide to make a new on on the ps2. I do hope they dont just try to beat a deadline and throw it together. This game however could have used a bigger blast, dripping blood, more body language, and heavy breathing (Heaving). But I still give it a good rating for mostly true to character design.

the game was put together like crap. i could sit here and give you the bull about it but let me say this... if you got bored of all your other games it is good to just play. But its not a pretty sight to look at. but hey if your a dbz then i say get it just to say "Hey i got all the dbz gamez to date!." I also have most or all the games that have come out even though i may have not owned the platform it was on. But that is just me.
