This is the best game ever!!! The story line is great there 108 people you can get If you just played through the story line you would be missing half the game. You start out as the hero or as I call him tenchi. there are many hidden events in the game. It is very fun too. And when you finally get the end you feel like you have done something great in your life. The great part is you can load the first suikoden to the second and the second to the third (etc.) and when you load you get even more hidden events. The music is really good too. Sometimes I play it just to hear it. I really liked it because of the storyline and all the people you can get in the game. You may think it is bad because it is in 2-d but that part makes it even better. It has a good fun factor the first time you play it your addicted to it. this gamee is priceless it is the best game ever!!! the life span is pretty good too. I have had it for 8 years.

When I started Playing this game, i was skeptical because it has very 1 dimensional graphics, but after playing for a while i became so wrapped up in the Story (which is incredible) and all that there is to do, you dont even notice the graphics anymore. this game is one of my all time favorites, and, the second Suikoden isnt bad either.

this game rocks!!!!! i mean its totaly awsome. if u like any final fantasy games you'd love suikoden. it might not have fancey pansey graphics but it kicks huge butt. there are 3 different tipes of fighting. theres the normal team fight. the awsome battle against the empire. then 1 on 1's ( you actually fight your own dad in one of these.) you get to have all different types of fighters too. there are staff useres (main charecter and tai) there areswords and rods and bows/ arrows, martial arts even some have knives and needles. i still havent playes suikoden 2 or 3 but im totaly lookin foreward to it.

If your sick and tired of wasting money hiring or buying crap Role Playing Games that your dickhead friend suggested to you, Suikoden is the change ya' need to relieve the stress.Suikoden is a kick-ass game in which it's player can decide to cut off the head of a surrendering enemy general( rather than recruiting them) or if you don't like someone who wants to join your Liberation Army( for example, a French-sounding tight-ass fag named Vincent) you can just piss them off
.Suikoden uses ideas such as using armies to gain other strongholds, and owning your own castle which ya' can name.The mini games are great and me and my frinds are even considering setting up a gambling joint in our scholl library with a certain dice game in Suikoden.
If your sick of playing other RPG's( such as the Final Fantasy series) and having only about 8 characters to use, or having a favourite character die , in Suikoden you get 108 characters. You can even go to great lengths to keep your favourite alive when they should die as part of the storyline (Pahn and Gremiop are examples)
Though it's crap that Konami is too bloody stupid to send many Suikoden merchandise out here in Australia or re-make Suikoden 1 and 2 on Sony2 ( both of which would bring in millions of dollars profit) Konami has made a terrific game which is worthy of much praise.

When I first played this game, I thought it was quite rubbish. But I gave it a chance and now I believe that I am the BIGGEST suikoden fan out there!! It is just an awesome game! It doen't need all these new fancy graphics and 3D Sound, because it has got the most important thing a game could have: PLAYABILITY!! Once you get into it, you are hooked! I just can't believe that they aren't releasing Suikoden 3 in the UK! Thats shocking!

I first got in the game when a friend gave me Suikoden II, after playing I looked hard to find the first Suikoden. Now that I have played it I am hooked, cant wait to play Suikoden III. I found the graphics to be pretty good, the music was good and I think the storyline was very good. I loved the battle set up alot more than I do in Suikoden II. The one thing I didn't like is that you cant run in the first one. I also found that it was easy to get all 108 stars.

Well, as of right now, at least, Suikoden is one of the best RPGs I've ever played. It reminds me of The Final Fantasy Series before Final Fantasy IX , what with its Storyline and snazzy graphics. They're good for a 2D RPG from 1996. Suikoden 's battle systems are quite unique; there are three: regular battle, in which you control a small party of heroes (6 or less, I believe) , mono e mono / one on one / versus , and the epic battle of epic proportions. Suikoden features a unique magic system using Runes . There are approximately 27. On to the characters. There are exactly 108 Stars of Destiny in Suikoden. You'll probably not get 'em all on yer first try. Some duos or trios or I don't know how many can unite to perform an attack in unison. The Storyline contains spine-tingling, bloodcurdling moments in which you might not be able to bear the burden of watching. For instance, an ally's tragic perishing. Copies of Suikoden are rare and should be handled carefully, I think maybe. They don't cost much, but that doesn't mean Suikoden is an unfulfilling RPG. Buy this awesome creation of awesomeness today.

I found Suikoden a very exciting game, i couldn't put the controller down until i had fallen alsleep in front of the screen. I just couldn't stop playing it until i had finished and then i had started over several times because the game was quite short, but otherwise i couldn't get enough of it. Though i have just found out about suikoden i can't wait until i can find suikoden 2 and 3 and play them as much as i can.

I love this game. This game has a good story to it and it makes alot of sence, not like some of the other games I've played. There is so many ways to battle like buddy attacks and all the damn magic and Runes. You can get 108 characters, Your own castle and you can level up your castle and make it bigger when you get charachters. Suikoden 1 and 2 are the best games out today I think it still beats all the ps2 games still. You have to play this game more than once because it has three endings to it. I can't wait to play Suikoden 3 when it come out!

This game is awesome. It has tons of features. Most games you can get about 9, 10 people in your party. In this one you can get 108, they are called the stars of destiny. This game also doesn't have just one battle system. It has your normal one, army battles(these rock), and then you have 1v1 fights. Also it is very hard to get all 108 the first time. So you will have to go through the game 2 or 3, maybe ever 4 times, before you get all 108. And you don't just sit there and attack at different times, you can have unite attacks, the one by the 3 ninja's is the most powerful on the game.
