My Two Pennies | | Congratulation!! from San Jose, CA, USA says (31/Oct/2003): | Well, as frequent video game player and Internet review writer I thought this game was pretty decent. I have nothing all too bad to say about it, except that the game is a worthless hunk of gaming dung.
I'm sorry. It's just that bad.
The graphics are clunky and slow; I've seen better graphics in an old SNK game that are better than this.
The sound sounds more like repetition; like the programmers were meant to make the game play the same thing over and over again on purpose. I'm not going to play a game where a character grunts all the time, as if all thats what enemies have to say while being kicked in the chest.
Gameplay... well, I'm not going to get into that. Not even lifespan.
If I had to rate this on a Fun Factor scale of 1 - 10, for sure this goes down in the history of all that's holy as the first game that has ever recieved a -10.56667; if that's even acceptable.
I'm sorry, but this game is as bad as the old Atari Adult-themed games.
| what a drowner | | griffin from tracy says (27/Oct/2003): | ok i was lost i love the corw it's a great movie but the second one sucks and so does this game it's slow and the graphics are crap i wish that the people who made this game took more time.When i first heard about the crow game i thought oh right a great movie turned into a game and i looked for it everywhere so when i fainally found i was as happy as hell.But when i palyed i wanted to cry i never thought in a million years that a movie that good could make such a crap game.I mean the story was bad and i mean really bad it was sicking to even be called the crow i would have never watched the movie if i had played the game.I think that if brandon lee was still alive may he rest in peace that he would be ashamed.This game is a great example of when good things go bad a great movie turned to a bad game.

Most people HATE this game...i have no idea why, maybe because it is a slower-paced fighter, i don't know. This is my favorite playstation game. It's very realistic & has cool enemy deaths in it. Quite a bit of blood, also. However, the conrtrols CAN take a while to get used to. I'll hightlight my thoughts & opinions on this game's pros & cons:

-break necks

-blow people to bits (literally)with a rocket launcher
-realistic fighting
-throw people into toxic waste
-throw people off of buildings
-secret areas
-hidden weapons
-glass bottles
-explosions
-dark, moody, gothic-like graphics & gameplay
-its not pokemon
-its not digimon
-its not smackdown 2 or 3
-its not mary kate & ashley olsen
Cons:

-may be too slow paced for some people
-most people just plain won't like this game
-most people will give up on the game because they won't take the time to learn the controls
I really like this game. It is also a very rare find, especially for Crow fans (Like myself).
I give The crow:city of angels an 8 out of 10.
