i love this game-especialy the directors cut version
although the graphics arnt to the modern days standard you have to consider when it came out.
i love the music in this one more then any other-sort of changes in the second one, but then gets better in code veronica, i think.
the back-ground detail in this game are great,what better place to set a place full of mutated monsters than an isolated gothic house.
the charicters are all good too(when you play jill`s game your especialy thankfull for barry cause he has a habbit for turning up to save you).
there are several different endings to the game depending on how its played.
the acting element was good too.
they used graphics for the monsters and house and actors for the charicters in the film sequences.
they made the new blood(remake) version which looks basicly real-but its for the game cube(aggggh).
i think of all of the resident evils this 1 IS the best.
if your like me-you have a play station 2 we can all curse the game cube for getting the remake together...

Well what can I say!! Resident evil 1 is my first horror game I actually played fully, wasn't the best of graphics but in 1996 it was the best for Psone! I found this game very very good because of the eerie music when you go into a room and you can tell whats going to happen because of the music!
the puzzels were good and the characters was alrite, im going to get Resident evil 2 soon (I liked the place it was set - In the police station!) and the character "Claire" is looking for her brother "chris redfield" and I have watched my uncle play all of the Resident evil games and it made me wanna play it and see what it was like and I think Resdient evil 1 and 2 are the best!! but you can't beat the good old Tirant as the edn boss (the mother of all bosses lol) even tho hes easy to kill compared to other bosses its just cause hes huge and scary lol and I give this game a 9 not a 10 because of the character graphics! but it's cool!!! =P

I liked the graphics of the game and also liked the of the game. The gameplay was also cool. the lifespan was also really cool for the game. adout the fun factor. i liked the fun about it. going around killing zombies. doing hard puzzles. and i thought all of the wepons were cool.and the manison was the really cool thing about the game. and the chatcers jill and chris. and wesker the umbrella spy. and i almost beated the whole game as jill. i played as chris like 5 times and it was harder when you are him. i did not beat the game. i know how the game ends too. someone told me adout it. i loved the game when i was in 3rd grade. the originality of the game was ok.i think resident evil is lots of money COMPARED TO ZELDA. i think zelda is less.

This game was one of the first games that i have on playstation. It was something new when i played it for the first time. I was confusing because i really donīt knew what to do in this game. I was playing this game with my cousin and we were like: "What shall we do know?" Okay, thatīs it for that. This is surely one of my best games that i have . This game is the reason why i start to like this kind of games, i mean survival horror type of games. Graphics are very good in this game and also gameplay is simple and easy. Sounds are almost perfect, a full of atmospheric music. The game was so, so close to 10 points, but the reason for that is that the game is maybe too short. But what the heck, this game is brilliant!

RESIDENT EVIL is one of the best games on psx.What got me into Resident evil was when i played the 2nd one when it first came i diddnt think much of them at first but when i play res3 res surviore i had to see what rers 1 was like.its a bit slow but when you get some it realy gets good its still got a creepy efect to it nowthe guns are good the creatures are scary like zombies hunters sharks giant spiders zombie dogs monky typ things with hooks sticking out of them giant snakes and plants the Tyrant and more.since i played games like these survival horror games r my fav i mean ive got just about every thing to do with resident evil i mean i even bought a dream cast just to play resident evil code veronica.

Resident Evil was the second game I bought for the PlayStation, and remains one of the best games ever produced for the system. The plot is superb, with a nice opening cinema scene that sets the stage for the action - an eerie, isolated mansion. From there on, the game features so many plot twists to keep you on the edge. At first you feel you are in a haunted house, but you eventually piece clues together to learn the real story. You are also led to beleive that characters you trust are back-stabbers and vice-versa. The music is very eerie, as is the quiet nature of the mansion itself. If you are into horror, you must play this game. Play it at night with no lights on for the ultimate experience.

this is by far the best survival horror game ever made and that will ever be made! there is not much to say except buy it now! the graphics are not great but still hold there own. the music in the background are very erie which adds alot to the game. the lifespan of this game is exellent because it is different for both charactures. this was the very first survival horror game so if you have played any and thought they were good, there not, because they were a rip off of this! i have never experinced fear playing a game but this made me play it with the lights on! if you are not all ready convinced they buy it for youself and i know you will love it!

This was the game that got me interested in survival horror games. The part I didn't like was the zombies. They all looked alike and they had the same attack pattern. The graphics were state of the art in 96, but by today's standards, it would fall
short. It is a classic game with comfortable controls, and a nice storyline, but the voice acting is kind of lame. I agree it probably isn't a accurate translation from Japanese. But all in all, it is a good game with real suspenseful moments I give
it seven out of ten!

This is probably the best game for the playstation. Forget RE2 and RE3. Lets get back to where it started. The saying that the original is the best game is the truth in this case. I have recently completed the gamecube version and thought how great it was.(read the reviews on it) I then thought about how it came about so here is my review on it. For the playstation the graghics are probably great in this game. The action is good and the stroy line is ace.is a must have for playstation fans.

There has been Silent Hill and all those others but still the best out there this was my first game that I got for Play Station! When I got this I thought it was some kind of joke. But when I started playing it, it was so scary I put it away for three years and just came back to it last week and I can't stop playing it!! It is so fun and has such a great plot! I would recommend anyone that is into solving puzzles and survival horrors! GREAT GAME, OVER ALL

The is challenging and I love it, It's action packed, I love the characters, too bad for Joseph, and the Bravo Team members, I heard of the game from my older cousin, and I really love this game because it's not boring, but yet it is scary!!! like the night of the living dead movies, but this game is the best game ever!!!
