Quite a long time ago I got Legend of Legaia for my birthday "I think I was in 4th Grade" and I was instantly amazed by it. This thing was the true video game to surpass all video games! I've played Final Fantasy VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Dragon Warrior 1, 2, and 3, almost all Vectorman, Sonic, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Silent Hill games. I've even had the esteemed pleasure of enjoying much of the Zelda series and the Mario Kart games. I've toggled to many Garfield, Rocket Knight, Zool, Disney, Kingdom Hearts, and Pac-Man games and folks, they are fodder compared to this masterpiece. The graphics of its time were magnificent! The characters were deep, and very colorful. The environments had depth and life in them. However, the best thing about the game was...it's music! The music was without a doubt genius! Ludwig von Beethoven combined with Snoop Dogg couldn't come up with better music! The amazing beats and rhythmic style sticks in my mind constantly. And I won't even get started on the incredible length of it all "okay, it's like 60 to 70 hours on the first go, and that's without doing any sidequests". I've just played a game called Vagrant Story, which I hear that Famitsu game a 10 on. Well Famitsu, you didn't seem to put a 10 up for Legaia. As a matter of fact, I didn't hear about Legaia on a Famitsu magazine. This game was horribly underrated. Yes, I've played the 2nd game, and I was very disappointed. It was short and repetitive. I don't see how anybody could've found it better. Well anyway, that's about it. Best game ever made.

This game is great. Many people say the graphics arent good but they are. They are very 3dish. The gameplay is about 70 hours in length and has a great storyline. The mist covers the world and u have to go all over the world destroying the mist generators and defeat the coolest villians. (Songi,Zora,Zeto,Dohati,Van Saryu,Lapis,Jette,Rogue,Juggernaut,Berserker,Caruban,Gi Delilas, Lu Delilas, Che Delilas,Koru,Xain,Golem, and Prince Cort.)The rendered sequences are great(PS2 graphics)and rare. Wonderful surprise twists are in the game like prince cort being Noa's brother-creator of the mist-killer of his parents and the city of Conkram. Gala's best friend Sonji betraying you. It is a very cool game, sometimes scary, but for people who cry easily this game is very sad. It uses the Tactical Arts System like left,right,down,up and such. The monsters are cool and the music is great a definate A+. This is the best playstation game. To bad I cant give legaia 2 a good score. Legaia 1 is much better then the second Legaia. But, legend of legaia is better then FF1,FF2,FF3,FF4,FF5,FF6,FF7,FF8,and FF9. This game is a must by for any rpg gamer. It's been not as popular as the final fantasy series but trust me its much better. The beginning of the game is a little bland but a few hours into the game and its very good.(watch what Sonji does to Rim Elm) be warned that this game is extremely challenging and is not for the rookie rpg gamer. Buy this game now!!!The fun factor is a 10 and the replay value is an 8 because there are somany secrets you can find.

I love this game. The graphics are great and very realistic. Once you play the game you are hooked. I like the battle-style better than Final Fantasy RPG's because you are actually controlling what the character does and how they fight. I also like how the idea is completely original. Like, when you press in what you want them to do they get all these new special moves. The game is so fun you will never want to get off. The lifespan of the characters is great like it takes a long time to gain a level but once you get there it's worth the challenge. The life ges up a good deal and the characters do so much better in battle. The sound of all the different places and battles is nice because you can tell where you are. In a town the music is peaceful. When a character is sad, so is the music. All in all the game is great. Everything about it rocks. I highly recommend it. The game will pull you in and you'll feel as if you're a part of it. The storyline makes sense and the characters are all different. Be sure to try it out sometime.

The game Legend of Legia definitely surpassed the FF's of its time. I honestly can say, I played that game for over 6 hours in a row, and you could have cooked an egg on my console. It was so hot. LOL. I also have played and own the sequel(unbeaten)and it is the same excellence I expected. The reason I and my friends loved that game so much was the replay value. I also enjoyed the graphics, which at THAT time, looked tops. Especcially the re-birth of the genises trees, with all that light, excellent. Anyone who loves rpgs, should definetly try this classic. Although it now lacks in standards and the innovation of new games, the plot and old timey feel (heck, what are we, 13-16? old timey.....) But all in all, to sum it up, in conclusion,THIS GAME IS THE CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF THE INFAMOUS RPGS! PLAY I SAY< OR MAY THE MIST SWALLOW YOU ALL!!!!!

if you are a gamer,you wont find a much better RP out there than Legend of Legaia.the biggest flaw is in the dance contest of Sol.but actully the biggest flaw is the only flaw.you cant find many rp games with the stiff part of the group being a stand-up comedian and an enthusiastic girl being a dance queen in a large tower shaped complex.the graphics are OUTSTANDING with a capitol O.if there was a LL2,id definatly try to get it.I havent beaten it but the funniest thing ive seen so far is in Dr. Ushas research center when Noa tries to get in the bath with another guy,and for an exuse she uses" but my butts small!" or something like that.
the sound surpasses the graphics.this rp isnt like the others.you fight like in Mortal Kombat or Tekken.just in a turn based style.overall,this is the best RPG ive ever seen,and im a pretty heavy RP gamer.

Dude.. this IS the best rpg when i first got it most of the other games were still 2.5D this was friggin awesome.. I played it for more than 8 hours straight lol.. like 50 hours straight.. what? i was lil and dumb it was so hard.. Xain killed me 100 times.. GET THIS DAMN GAME!!!!! I had the damn walkthrough book for this it's still hard as hell.. good game play.. excellent graphics ( still good ) AWESOME STORY LINE.. you can fish and play slot machines! thats like the best thing 2 do for 3 hours LOL.. this games graphics are no match for any other PS1 game (sept digimon world) but that game sucks.. well it's okay but NOT AS GOOD AS LEGEND OF LEGIA.. i remember when i was like 8 playing legend of legia for super nintendo.. that game sucked.. its gone a long way.. i hope to see a legend of legia on PS2 Or PS3

Legend of Legaia is on over all good RPG. Legend of Legaia sends three characters, Vahn, Noa and Gala, through a quest to save their world. All three heros having their plusses and minuses on the battle field.
Legend of Legaia doesn't have the greatest graphics but for the time to complete, battle system and miscellaneous items, weapons and armor more than make up for the graphics.
The new battle system merges fighting games as well as the traditional turn-based systems together. In legaia you can choose for example up, down, right, right then up again. If you aren't a estatic RPG player then this is the game to get you started on that path. For the already RPG lovers like myself legend is fun if you have nothing else to do or play.

This game wood hav to b 1 ov the best games on playstation. Iv finished the game and it was startin 2 get hard whnyou get up to biron monistry. Anyways i like it becausethe characters are good and plus ya dont hav ta change partys like on ffs. The thing i hav to critersize is that you dont get different characters. Noa is da best. Its an awesome game, for and RPG to impress me it has to have a good opening movie, good storyline and awesome music, Legaia has all three of these (wait 30 secs at opening screen for movie) the battle systems is awesome. If you've played the final fantasies you mite recognise a few things with mist and the battle dome (yea FF9 was released after this) and the flying seru looks a lot like the gargant from FF9 too. The magic system could do with a bit of a revamp though and graphucs are kinda lacking in field mode. All in all an awesome game even though its pretty short in comparrison with someother rpgs

I first got introuduced to Legend Of Legaia in my Demo CD. I finished the rim elm part and it ended quickly :(. So, i bought the LEgend Of Legaia CD and it rocked! I played it a whole day once. This game is great because you can use all types of attacks and you can also use Ra-Seru Powers and you also have great enemies (by the way, Songi makes me pissed). For some reason, it is jusst addicting. Of course, i dont play it as often as i used to. I am starting to play it again. Overall, Legend Of Legaia is probably the best game in it's class. I play it over and over again.

When I first played this game i know it would be my favorite Rpg for the playstation.This game is too good to be true.I had this game since 1999 and I still replay the game.Even though you have a Ps2 get this game.It is way better than FF and it is very hard.At the beginning I couldn't even beat Carubun the first master.When you play this game you will think that FF is an oldstyle game.I mean this game even surpasses some of the ps2 games.Anybody who says this game is a waste of money is just bad because,they can't beat the game or they heard one thing that is bad about it.

This is a pretty good game with excellent battle graphics and good gamplay, one of the best functions was the ability to use combos instead of single attacks like the Final Fantasy series, another interesting part was the ability to remain in the same pllace after you attackeg. right in fron of the enemy allowing for a more realistic looking battle field. What it lacked was an opening movie and limit breaks, also the magic system could do with a bit of improvement. All in all a good RPG with a original story lie ( except for the save the world bit).

Why won't E Contrail make LEGAIA2? LEGAIA's so cool. The story is original and the graphic is bright and comfort. The music is breath-taking. I would say that a person who plays rpg and doesn't like Legaia, that person is not a super rpg player and doesn't know rpg that much! I play this game many times and it has never bored me. I like the music instruments that they use for the songs. It's so smooth! And those boss songs are super perfect! Notice the music you guys; it's really exciting, especially when fighting with bosses.

I played Legend of Legaia and it was very cool. IF you like games like tekken and final fantasy you are going to love this game. I give it a 9 out of 10. The graphic and everthing were great until I got tired of trying to get all the items and money. So I put on a gameshark code and it didn't work I was a little mad but in the end you didn't even need half the stuff. So if you get this game don't get mad like I did because you don't need alot of the stuff. Otherwise it was a killer game.

LOL is the best game I ever played!!!!!! I don't know anything about FF, but the people say it's like that. But anyway, I finished the game, and started over! Im played 8 houres, I did got a cookie and some coke, but besides that I played the game 8 houres after each other!!! If anyone has questions about the game, just ask me! I bet I know and can help you!!!!!!!!!! My stats sed I finished the game for 78.89 %!!!! I got 205 from the 260 treasures!!!!!! So just ask me, and i'll help you!!!

Well at first glance, The game is pretty kewl. The atmosphere seem pretty much like an RPG game supposed to be... but there was something different, something I've never experience b4. First of all, I've never seen an RPG game start of w/o a FMV. second, I've noticed that the game is only 340 something megs or so. That's pretty small for RPG game!!! The story line is pretty weak in my opinion. That's all every thing is kewl. The graphics, sound, and the characters is kewl.

Legend of Legaia is one, if not the best RPG i have ever played. You cannot just compare it to Final Fantasy since I guess it was released earlier than the awesome FFs, but i must say that I too was addicted in this game. At first glance I saw it quite boring but when I actually played it it is very hard to stop. Even though its layout is quite simple, it has a very good gameplay, and you cannot find that kind of play anywhere else.

Legend of Legaia had a touch of originality with allowing players to choose and find fighting style techniques instead of being pre-chosen . I also thought that the graphics were a little dull, and the music could have been a little more graphic on its depiction of what was occuring, but forgetting about its faults this game had a subtleness to it that RPG lovers would definately like to play for hours and likely again.
