What's the friggin point? |
| Matt J from Melbourne, Australia says (19/Aug/2003): |
OMG!! What a load of crap! Even when I didn't have a PS2 I thought this game sucked! The graphics are atrocious, the sound effects come from a school keyboard's "special effects" section, and the levels are extremely linear; each time you play it the exact same movements are made by the enemy. It's lifespan sucks, you'll get sick of it in a couple of hours. It isn't fun at all, because the controll system is hopeless. The best you can do in a firefight is to get your head blown off, because you cant get out of the way quick enough. It is extremely unoriginal, as is all of the Army Men series (probably the worst series ever made) and no matter how low the price tag is you won't get good value. my conclusion is: don't buy it for god's sake! Especially if you have a PS2! (or even a crappy GameCube)

okay |
| zack pociatek from USA says (10/Jun/2003): |
well the game would have been better if you could do solo missions with your freands and the mutiplayer i wish could have vechicles to that would have cool and if you could control your men in battle and mutiplayer but the game was better than much of the other games they had

good not great |
| xhado from nashville, tn says (30/Apr/2003): |
Pretty good buy as a used title. To me, it doesn't have the interest of other army men titles. They're not really toy army men at all. I prefer seeing the giant spatulas and stuff. If I wanted a WWII title, I would get one. That said, it's still pretty entertaining. Haven't tried 2 player mode yet.

Finally the |
| A gamer from Michigan, USA says (26/Dec/2002): |
I got this game from my lil cuz for christmas 2002. Hell I think it was the best game I've ever recieved! And ta think that lil' guy bought it for only 10 BUCKS! It makes a great gift b/c its cheap, but it still gives solid gameplay. The multiplayer is ok, not ne thing up to Goldeneyes standards, but pretty good. I loved grudge matches with the tanks. The sound to me really evokes what WWII would sound like, the 50 cals....like music to my ears. And the cannons are awesome. Although there are some sound glitches where all of the sudden they're footsteps stop in multiplayer, but as for those ppl that say the sound sucks on this game, don't listen to them, they don't know what they're talking about. The graphics are ok, I mean hey...its army men, when you unrapped those lil' plastic men outta the bag, when you were little, were you worried about clean cut lines and good features?!?! Hell NO, you wanted to blow up some plastic man ASS! So if you get passed the mild graphics and some minor glitches, you'll realize that gameplay is what really matters, and this games got it!

not as good as sarges heros, but lotsa fun |
| Mark from Watertown, Wisconsin, USA says (10/Dec/2002): |
I enjoy this game as much as the original Army men, and even more so than Air Assault (the 2 player is not as good though) but am having a harder time making it thru. I was completely stuck at level 6 for the longest time but finally figured that out and am now stuck at level 14, if anybody has a clue as to how to fire that gun, please let me know.

What the Hell |
| Harold(pissed off) from Alabama, New York says (22/Nov/2002): |
I thought this game looked fairly good, however the graphics, gameplay, and options in the two player mode is pathetic, one of the worst games i've ever had to play. The game has NO SOUND, what the heck it's like a tomb when your trying to attack the opposition, Very exciting.I thought this game looked fairly good, however the graphics, gameplay, and options in the two player mode is pathetic, one of the worst games i've ever had to play. A Good All Round Game |
| Matt Jessop from Melbourne, Australia says (16/Jul/2002): |
I think Army Men Team Assault is one of the best Army Men games made, and for $30 in Victoria, Australia, that's not bad pricing at all. The single player mode is very chalengeing, and keeps you playing for ages. It has great virsitility, because iin each level you must chose two commandos out of six, which have to meet the required skills for that level. But there are some hidden thing that you can use around the levels that dont take the required skills for that level.
The 2 player mode is excellent, especially capture the flag. If both players put all their friendly soldiers in attack mode, they all have a huge battle in the middle of the map. Pretty Good, eh?

i enjoy the versatility of the missions |
| greenagent from chandler,az,usa says (23/Jun/2002): |
when i first started playing this game it was hard to get into, but after you pass the first couple of missions your on a role. I also like how you get to use special equipment such as tanks, boats and planes. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys mission style games.

It's OK for an army men game |
| Miles Bentley from Salisbury, England says (13/May/2002): |
When I went to my local garage a couple of days ago, I was allowed to buy a Playstation game. As I was looking through their collection, I came across this Army men game thinking it'll be fun to play. I got home ran up stairs, and slammed the disc into the machine, as the logos came up onto the screen i was becoming more eager to play the game. As the main menu popped up I went to new game at light speed, I could'nt wait to play it. Finally the game came into play. Me and my brother (who was watching me) were introduced to five little green men who were trying to escape from the enemies base. We both sat and laughed as they woddled across the fields and rolled about the floor. Finally we were aloud to play. The graphics were good the gameplay mighty fine and the music, well their was'nt any.
The game was really fun, The one player mode is fantastic. I was cheerfully blasting away the bad guys. This game was so exciting. I thought it could'nt get any better until my brother came towards me shouting theirs a two player mode.
I quite my game and pushed another controller into the console and me and my brother booted up a two player match. WOW it was great, capture the flag, grunge match and tank vs tank this is surly a fantastic game.

Army Man Team Assult is a good game |
| Andrew Ostroff from Wilmington, Delaware, U.S.A. says (12/Apr/2002): |
Army Man Team Assult is a good game i enjoyed playing it alot. The only problem with it is that it is hard to find cheats for because it is not as popular as the other Army Man games. At all the web sites i have tried i stiil have not found any cheats for it so you may want to give up looking now. (if you did find cheats i am willing to take them Starwinder13< remove me > at aol.com Another great thing about this game is I got it at such a cheap price i paid $9.99 for it. It was well worth it! The graphics in the game are ok. It is very fun to play all tough the missions were kind of hard expecially the second level where you have to go to the bottom of the bridge and blow it up. It was tough to get to the bottom of the bridge because there are so many snypers hanging areoun on the cliffs and in the brush. I defiently recomend this game if you have not tried it or is thinking about buying it.

Good fun for thirty dollars! |
| ashley ramage from Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia says (29/Mar/2002): |
This is a fairly typical offering from 3DO, as regards their army men series. The graphics are adequeate, the missions challenging yet achievable. The 2 player mode is enjoyable but they should have offered more tracks to play "capture the flag".
I don't know how much they are charging for this game elsewhere in the world but I bought it for 30 dollars in Australia and I reckon that represents good value buying.
