A very distrubing game... but I can't stop playing. | | Daniel Wood from Auckland, New Zealand says (29/Apr/2002): | If you have a girlfriend, this is one of those games that nearly cost you a relationship. Not because the game is full of lusty women (far from it, in fact), or because its one of those games that you call all your mates around for, but because one minute it will be six o'clock at night, and the next time you get up its 3am. I must say I slept on the couch many a time for neglecting my missus. But thats the kind of game this is. It is so involved, so large, and so grotesque that you get sucked in to it. At the beginning its cute points... the main character is ambidexterious, so firing off a shotgun and a semi-automatic is one of the good points of this game. But it is so much more. You really have to think to play this game, or you get nowhere. As you get further and further into the game, you realise that the people who made this game really have some issues. The ammound of blood in this game put all the Quake-like games to shame. His alter-ego on the "Dead-side" can also use both his hands, and as you progress into the game (he can switch from the deadside to liveside at any time) the more powerful he becomes. I dont want to review too much of this game, but if you have alot of time to burn, this game is it. Really challenging even for the discerning role playing adventurer.
| Shadaowman is sickly, disturbingly excellent | | ashelienia from Florida, USA says (30/Jun/2003): | This game is so disturbingly addictive. Its like riding a holloween rollercoaster ride. The game exsites, fraightens, and leave you searching, mentally more physically, for whats next all at the same time. The consept and plot of this game is brilliant. For a horror fanatic like me its the perfect game.
