I love this game, but there are a few things they missed... |

I like this game for many reasons. I have always dreamed of riding a horse (for real), and since that is impossible for me and almost anyone else, this game gave me the opportunity to half-experience riding and horse skills. Also, it's fun because after I figured out how to get a few of the ribbons from the adventure worlds (1 from Island World, 3 from Forest World), I felt proud of what I knew. But there are also a few things I thought could be improved:
1. In the dressage competitions, they will tell you that the gait is "half pass right" or "half pass left." They never tell you how to half pass either way, so I wind up with errors. (By the way, does anyone know how? I'd really like to know.)
2. In "Forest World," there is a lake of green stuff. It has a tantalizing island in it, but absolutely, positively NO way to get to it. I tried from every angle, every spot around it... but you can't get on it. It's literally impossible. The whole time, I kept thinking, "There HAS to be a way. I'm missing the 20-ribbon and this is the hardest thing here. It HAS to be on that island." I kept on trying and trying, until only recently I searched the Web for a secret about that island and the 20-ribbon. After finding an FAQ, I learned that it wasn't even on that island at all! They shouldn't have put it there. Actually, maybe they wanted to distract people from the real ribbon...
That's all the flaws I can think of. There could be one more that I'm blanking on, but that's pretty much it. And oh, one more thing - just because there are some flaws doesn't mean it isn't one of the BEST GAMES EVER! So keep playing - I still am!

hi all, i will have to agree wid half of ya that put ur opinions on as 5 minus. i mean look at the graphics, absolute rubbish, yeah its a good game but graphics, i mean have u seen when u groom the horse, the tail is up in the air anyway, and who just sits there and does nufin to get the horse moving, u should see the riders kick the horse on, get in the jumping position. i fink that the horse should b able to have a mind of its own and rear and buck and depending on how well ya ride in the game and how higher the point or ribbons u get u can either fall off or stay on. you also should be able to press X button without the constant reminder and being only able to to jump there and then by a jump. i mean, who has only heard of about 10 different colours of horses, there are a lot more then that and should be included. and plus u should b able to buy up to 4 or 5 horses too. but just to have a real dig they should have a vet, farrier, b able to feed the horse, make the feeds up, buy feeds from a feed room, buy feed buckets to put feed in, scoops stuff like dat. and plus who grooms by 2 brushes, and stands behind a horse while brushing their tail. that kinda thing. and the free ride is too hard to find all the hidden horse shoes and ribbons, there is too mush space, yeah its ok if u got 2 player on and you both r mseeing about but what if ur mate or who eva goes, your stuck cos ya cant find dem.

Well I think its a fun game but for one thing how come they don't tell me how to left(or right) half pass I always get disqualyfied because I have too many errors so I just don't get it. the second thing is that when you jump a double combanasion you can't go fast or else you can't make the seconde jump but if you go to slow you don't make the jumps at all and it takes up alot of time. I'm probably the most biggest horse freak on this planet!I'm 16 yrs and I'v been ridding for 13 years, I should know, but on the PS1 its a bit defferent. I think that they should tell you how to do certain things. LIke how to left(or right) half pass and give more hints on how to find all the ribbons in the free runaround island or forest. I'm not a fan of mary-kate and ashley and I'm glad you can create your own caracter(up to a point ofcourse).I was not to impressed by the graphics, yes the PS1 doesn't have the best graphics but this game on the graphics were bad, sometimes you had a hard time seeying what was ahead and around you. Its fun that you can also play 2 players but only in the free world, they should let us play 2 in jumping competision (one at a time but they should still let us). but thats all I have to say about this game and its my opinion well if you would like to contact me my e-mail should be displayed for others who haven't played the game have fun in any way you would like. see ya

the game is fn but the graphics suk.come on .when you are grooming your horse and painting her hooves you're character starts painting off the hoof.otherwise the game is good.i like the competetions and show jumping.when my friend courtney comes over sometimes we play two player version.we play tag chase each other and run like crazy pretending someone is trying to steal our horses.sometimes we just run around in circle. if the horses could swim that would be great.i like going through water. i like finding secrets.here's some. in the forest world find the wishing well.you'll find a heart and you're horse will do a trick. cross the river and find the bridge to the island.there will be a treasure chest with a heart and the same old boring horse trick.pretty but used too much.island world.the easter island statures are located on a cliff.you will find a heart.Amazing!!!!there is also a corn maze that's fun and you get a heart.i found a platform that when you stand on a piece of rock a heart is shown but when you go to get it the door closes.you have to put pressure on the rock and move without taking away the pressure.i don't know how so don't ask.i would say a good game.

i give this game a 3.i mean come on really!they always have to make a horse a mare.they should let u should the gender and have more colors.i am 11 and when im done with dressage im tired.also u get like 50 ribbons in the first level!rn't u only supposed to get 1?ha ha ha i think these ppl that made this game r really really really dumb.i mean we should tack up the horse,groom it,feed it and more!
also i can never find the other things.they should make this game more exciting.also they should make the horse go to the farrier and to the vet and u could own like more than one horse instead of always changing the horse.also i think there should be a multiplayer like riding < remove me > at the same time in the dressage ring to warm up horses and see other ppl ride there.u should also go on trail rides with ppl that compete in the shows.i think this game is pathetic!i mean really.who would groom a horse in 2 strokes!ha ha ha ha ha.we should also choose the breed of horse that we wanna own and if we get enough ribbons we can buy another horse like in gameboy kindof.i think id rather play the gameboy color winners circle and get horses instead of creating them!huh right?

I think Mary-Kate and Ashley Winners Circle is really fabulous! Even though some of you think the graphics are really bad, it's really good for a Play Station game. I have completed the game because I spend so much time on it. I rate it 10 because you don't only do competitions, but you can go on free rides as well! And it's so much fun looking for the ribbions, even though I have gotten lost a couple of times! Some of you think that the grooming graphics are totally bad? Well, again, I think it's pretty well done for PS. I really like this game. And I can answer your question about why they stand behind the horse while grooming, because she's not being really loud, and it's only a game. When I go to ride, I can stand behind all the horses and ponies behinds without getting kicked. And why you can't select more breeds is because it would be too much and it's already a good price for the game. As I've got the game myself, I really enjoy it, partly because I love Mary-Kate and Ashley and I totally love horses!!! So this is a really good game, and it would be fantastic if they could upgrade it, but I like it just how it is. Keep up the good work!

i personally think the game was alright- but yes as others have said v.unrealistic. i mean beginners doing what..? 2ft jumps!also i think their idea of 'grooming' is pretty poor, say if a kid who had never been around a horse decided- hey ill go stand behind that horse like mary-kate and ashley, and got kicked! i think the game is more for wanna-be riders- cus if your like me and have experiance with horses youll spend the whole game yelling at the screen!also i think they should keep quiet while your riding-yes we know its you- were playing your game remember!?
i think they should try a PS2 version as for one i find it more enjoyable when the rider is more than a black smear on my TV screen!
in my opinion i think Mary-kate and ashley are to busy playing-'the perfect teenage girl' to care about the quality of their games.
i think i enjoyed the game overall as i dont think ill ever get my OWN horse, so this is probably as close as ill get. i wouldnt recomend this game to experianced riders.

If your just starting out in the horsey world then this game is for you, its more of a younger girls game like under 10's. The graphics are a little dodgy and the animation of horse and rider is no were near what its like really. Most music & sound is clubbing style so if your an older player then this might get annoying. There isn't much to do, you can compete in a 3-day event or go on an adventure in Forest World or Island World and its too easy to get lost. You can change your outfit which is good but the whole game can be completed in less than two hours which is dissapointing. If you want to play a better horse game then theres Mary King's riding star or even better Equestriad 2001.

I love it I mean its got horses but I never realy was a fan of mary-kate or ashley but this game roxs. Shure the graphics arn't grate but thats life , get on with it and get over it I alows say. Any back to the game , All you people who mone about the graphics........what i mean to say is it is a PS game I mean what do you expict. shure the music is a little anoying but if you don't like you can aloways turn it down and/or turn on the stero. I have horses /I live at a stable so I no a lot about then horses and I think they did pritty we'll with this game but thats only my ipnon so to finsis of id like to say HAVE A VERY MERRY X-MAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right if your a horse expert stick to Equestriad 2001 because long reins,exchanging ribbons for clothes,and no breeds of horses or profiles of their abilaties is not a thing a horse expert wants to do.It's ok but there's better horse games out there.It's too easy but the controls are dodgy and graphics arent too good.If your new to the horse world then it's fine.And grooming is horrific when there brushing the tail they stand behind the horse.I know it's just graphics but pleease and when your grooming in the game they say stuff like,"You could use some conditoner!" My veiw is get a better horse game like Equestriad 2001,Mary Kings Riding Star e.t.c.

Come on, how boring! They have the same jumps in all the levels and the riders down even go in the 2- point! Very unrealistic. I gave this game a 4. They should have more colors of horses or breeds of horses. And trading ribbons in for clothes? C'mon give me a break. I think people 10+ will get very bored of this game in a short amount of time. And in the dresage, in the higher levels, I always get disqualified because they don't tell how to do a half- pass. And the grooming, uh God! Who the heck brushes a tail from behind? How stupid! And I completed the game in less than an hour. It is too short.

iTS A BRILLIANT GAME BUT IT GETS REALLY BORING.I think when you get on to the harder levels it should have better clothes and better jumps and new horses .
It is ok for like 6,7,8 year olds but it is not for older kids.
I think mary-kate and ashley should make games for older people.
About boys and teenage lives.I think mary-kate and ashley should make games about real life situasitons. IT should have real pitchures of them on the games.I want to know as well the rating of the gameon the case because you want to know what other people think of it as well as your'e self.

Its a fun game. Although i find the free worlds a tad lonley and a bit errie. It would have been nicer to see some ild animals roaming about or some othe rider. The graphics are pretty good for a ps game. Although there are glitches as i found out.
eg: While galloping at the edge of a cliff to see if i copuld fall off. I took off and was able to run around in mid air for a while before making a nice landing back on a hil where the game blinked and i was back on the ground again. (note: if you do get to fly *Lol* thn notice it either looks like your a giant or flying)

Well, I bought my copy for twenty bucks, so I assumed it wasn't going to be, like, the best game Ive ever played.Parts of it were cute, and I liked the cross-country course...I know people on here are complaining about the graphics, but personally I think they are reasonable for a playstation one game.
It was a bit easy, and unrealistic but as I am an equestrian myself my perception may be a bit altered...its more for people who don't know about horses.I liked it about as mucha s I like Riding Star.
Loved buying the clothes though.Hell yeah!!

i think its one of the best ps1 games ever made. its not that life like i own two horses i should no.the only problem is they jump really strange. i also think that they dont do anothe horsey games for us. well not this good. another good game similla is equestriad. i love the idea of a free roam around as well.
i have one question for all people who make horsey computer games. why don't you make more?
why do they always call it a female it might be a male. and where the horse box.

What were they thinking? It was unrealistic and the graphics were poor. The fact that you exchanged ribbons for cloths is ridiculous and being on a island in the middle of an ocean is idiotic. There should have been more detail on the horses such as breeds and more colours to choose from. Also being black I expected there to be a black girl option on the riders. It was boring and should have been longer, I finished it in under three hours. Stick to clothes girls.

I'm afraid that although I love horses and thought this would be an exciting game, it was too childish for me as I bought a different game at the same time, also for the playstation and a horse one.
Winner's circle could be improved with more options and having it more realistic, the grooming is atrocious and sooo boring. The courses, however, are easy but I think it's more of a kids game than adults, age 12+, choose another game!

I loved the Game...Except the graphics r messed up and you cant buy cool things from the shop for your horse too. Also, they shouldnt have only whit people in the game there are such people that arent white ya know! Over all I thought the game was fn but when youre practicing you should be abe to set up jumps and have the horse go through them the way you want...You should also be able to pick different breeds of horses too.

I love this game! It's fun to play and true, their reins could be shorter. (LOL!) I love horses. ( i also ride horses) and I think mary-kate is a great rider. But I will say the only reasons I didn't choose it as a 10 is because they graphics ARE really dodgy and when the horse moves it kinda looks like the horses skin is shifting. But other than that, it's a great, fun, challanging game! I LOVE IT!
