Just as good as THPS1 & 2 |

When I first played Thps 3 I did not like it, the reason for that is that there isn't much new in this game, ok the graphic is a bit better but no new features.
After a while playing the game I just loved it, the lack of new features doesn't matter as long as you get some amazing new levels. After playng THPS 3 for a couple of weeks now, it is very easy to beat with any skater. But still there is hours and hours of fun in this game. And then I just love the 2- player function, it's realy great to beat one of your freinds in the two- player game HORSE.
So all in all a realy great game, the best I've been playing for a while.
So thumbs up for this game, if you dont have it go and get it.
I have been playing THPS 3 for playstation 2 as well, and even though I dont have a PS2 I will buy this game just for the day I'm going to buy a plasystation 2.
Please dont mind the spelling, I'm not from an english speaking country.

Ok, first of all this is the best one of them all so far, so all of you that say it sucks and it is too hard probably don't even skate. also the game cube and the psone versions both are much worse than the ps2 version. so if you played the ps2 version then you would prabably be surprised that it has much better graphics. all of you that are in it just to beat the game don't even understand what skateboarding is all about. It is about trying new stuff with the tricks you already have. this game has a lot more new tricks in it and I think that most of you don't even know who any of these skaters are. Also the kid that thinks bucky lasek is a street skater probably doesn't even know who he is. He is a vert skater so stop acting like you know everything about skateboarding, because you don't. so over all this is the best one yet, and all of you that think different should have a lot more respect for the game and the sk8ers.

First, let me start my saying that i have never played a Tony Hawk game before.. however, i have rented other skate boarding games, and skate board myself. This is by far the best skate boarder game ever created, not to mention that fact that it is the first ONLINE PS2 GAME!!!!!!!!!!! How can anyone talk bad about the first online ps2 game, that not only supplies its buyers with excellent game play, and maps/ characters, but also can be played multiplayer from one house to another. The only thing that i can think of is that the people who rented Tony Hawk, must not have been able to Purchase the product, which also means they probably don't have enough cash to buy a cable modem, which in turn means they cannot feel the full effect due to there own financial status and have to put down an awesome game to make them feel better about not being able to buy it. Thanks for hearing me.. PC Gamer.. Will

All I see on here is that these people are not impressed with how Pro Skater 3 is and how it's just like 2. Then I see them saying how Pro Skater 2 was soooo cool and how they were addicted to it. By association, you'd think that since it's just like 2, then it would be as addictive, and it is. I can't put down the controller, dispite college assignments. New levels with old ones popping up as you go on is a great touch. Adding the old levels was a great idea. Next you have gameplay. Two more features plus online play soon will have all of the kids at Christmas time just waitin' for spring to come around. Finally you have better graphics than before. What else could you ask for? If you haven't bought the game yet, then buy it already. This game will become a must have for the PS2. If you're a fanatic of the game, then you should have no reason to not buy it either.

about those hidden tapes, what the heck are they for, like can you watch what is on them or they just another stupid goel to get cuz they ran out of ideas for goels. i dont like tony hawk infact i hate him i just love his games and all you street skaters out there ofcorse we all know RODNEY MULLEN and BUCKY LASEK are the worlds greatest street skaters alive. so why dont they make a game like RODNEY & BUCKY's pro skater series and the reson why i hate fony hawk i mean tony hawk is cuz un like BUCKY and RODNEY and so on, tony is in skating for the money and publicity bucky and rodney are in for fun and chicks if you dont belive me go watch RODNEY MULLEN vs DAWON SONG part II . but i am a hardcore street skater so i hate vert so anyways please reply to this about the tapes or emial me what you think about this comment

i have been playing this game for about 3 weeks now and i think that this is the best playstation game I have ever played.I have only 1 thing I haven't been able to do and that is - Nosegrind over the tree - in the Canada level if any one knows how to do it please send me an e-mail.i think the graphics,sound and gameplay are very good.the gameplay is very good because the tricks are very easy to do .As far for the music goes i wonder were do they take this sh**t. there are only like 2 good songs.for the people who says that this game needs cheats ,this game is too good to go mess it up with cheats.cheats make this game way too easy.and for the people who say that this game is too hard i think you need a little practice.

The thing is,, there's is really nothing to hate about this game... I remember the previous versions were kinda a little to the side. But this Game was thru da roof. There were fewer tricks to do, but hey... who needs all those tricks anyways,,, You'll never use at least 3 tricks throughout the game anyways. Besides,,, Goals and stats were always keeping us busy to do. I remember when we couldn't even find the "noselide the tree" gig.. We spent hours and hours finding it. And another thing, after finishing a persons videos and junk,, it gave us more things to do like that GAP CHECKLIST.. Now that's awesome!!! All in all,, you'll never get bored w/ this game, every time that you beat it, there's always something that'll surprise you and keep you busy for at least a few months or so. AWESOME GAME UP IN DIS!!!!

To everybody on here who has posted a bad review: You are misinformed.
First of all, this is the PS1 version of the game. The PS2 version of the game is LOADS better. It has added animations, flatland tricks, hidden combos, bigger levels and countless other additions. The PS1 version isn't much compared to it. But compared to THPS2 for PS1, it IS better. It doesn't have "2" new moves added, it has SEVERAL new moves, even more if you include specials.
Can't land a 360? Maybe video gaming isn't for you. 360's are a breeze unless you are pathetic at the game. Boost up your stats, maybe. I think the people who have trouble landing 360's should be playing another game.
Oh, and just to clarify, the No Comply ISN'T a new move. One review here says it is.
I would recommend this game. It IS worth it.

The game is definetly better than tony hawk 1 and 2 in graphics in levels and moves (exept for the fact that they got rid of the impossible for almost all the skaters!), but the control isn't any where near perfect. The levels are cool. And since Bam is in it, you know it's gonna have a jackass twist to the game. The special move called THE JACKASS is pretty slick. But unfortunetly, Bam Margera looks nothing like himself in this game. The videos are cool, and the new specials are way better. If you have a PS2 buy the game for that. X BOX, even better. Il gave the game 8 stars because it's adictive and fun, but anyway, better luck next time Neversoft.

Well, my buddy bought the new Tony Hawk and we were pretty excited considering how good the last one was. We played it for an hour and went back to Devil May Cry. Ive been playing it all morning and it just isn't as good as the last one. The levels suck, its hard as hell to land tricks, and its just not as fun. I guess its cool that theres some different skaters and the create a skater is good (i guess) but thats it. I really could care less if i can change my grip tape, wheels, hats, socks, who gives a $#< remove me > at ! what there wearing anyways. This game really let me down and I would of rather get a 12 pack and watch tv than play through the game anymore. the levels get worse as you go on, and even the music kinda sucks. Stick to your gigantic skatepark tour Tony.

This game is pretty good, it has some new additions like: New tricks(some pretty cool ones too), Changed Burnquist with Bam Margera, and new levels of course...
But what about Park editor, create a skater.. Nothing new here! (okay a new texture in park editor..but what do I need that for..)
Although this game has a nice gameplay, it's only slightly better than THPS2.. So don't kid yourselves, YOU NEED TO GET THIS ON PS2..
This has some tricky goals in career mode I think. Which is good of course, only this one thing in the Canada level seem to be out of my reach to figure out:
"NOSEGRIND OVER THE TREE"
PLEASE, IF ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS ONE, PLEASE MAIL ME, AND LET ME KNOW!!
All in all, a good game. Only the PS2 version is so much better!!!!!!!!!1

I left my first review about a week ago and i just checked back in to see what everyone else thought about the game. I did play it a little more, and I still stick by my first review, but as I read more reviews, I noticed a trend of people saying how great the game is and whoever doesn't like it sucks or is an idiot or doesn't make enough money to purchace the game (which is my personal favorite.) This is supposed to be a review of a VIDEO GAME so don't take everything to heart. And Will in Dover, thats great your mom and dad can afford to get you a cable modem, but my bet is your still riding the bus or your board to school, so do your paper route, flip burgers or whatever you do to make a little extra money and try to remember, its just a game.

I think this game was good, not great, because it is mostly the same as TH2. I don't think it was very challenging because as I said, it's the same as the old games. There were hardly any graphical updates, and the goals were the same old kind of stuff that is about to become boring. The new revert feature was a good addition to the game, but I wanted to say one thing in particular. PS1 OWNERS GOT JIPPED! IN the ps2 version there's online play, expanded create skater and park editor, and more unlockable stuff. The ps1 I know cant be online, but the editors are exactly the same, and I'm not going to buy a ps2 just for little things like that. Bottom line is: if you already have thps2 this is good for a rental. Save your cash for something else.

I enjoyd playing thps3. Its fun having different levels than the rest but it could have been better with a lot more options at choice. Like more stuff to choose in park editor or other stuff to choose from in create skater. Otherwise it was a good game
I think if there is going to be one more i suggest u do some things like being able to get off the board and walk or jump maybe even fight.
Or even be able to create your own picture on deck.
if u are concern on how it is realistic wise then u should make so if u stuff up then there is a chance urdeck or trucks could snap then you will need to buy more
i also think you should be able to create your own trick
well to give you a mark i think it deserves a 8/10

I have been reading the reviews, I had the game the moment they took it out of the box at the electronics store, I was standing there while they were going through the games trying to find it for me. I had it opened before I was done paying for it and couldn't wait to get home. Everyone was expecting a whole new line up of tricks and skaters, the new manuals alone are awesome which were unheard of in the first two. The skaters bring a tradition to tbe game along with its superior game physics. They maybe unreal levels, but you can create realistic ones if you want. The levels are great and add variety to the possibility's. Maybe it has flaws, nothings perfect. But they took the best of one and two and added it that to something even better.

I think some of you guys are right ive played it for ps2 and ps1 and i am having a little trouble adjusting to the new revert feature.i used to be all about the big high flying tricks.now thanks to thps3 i have a new love for grinds like you would not believe.once I get the reverts down and work on my manual down.I feel i will love this game even more.i got really good at thps 1 and 2I feel confident i will get good at 3.i feel this a a must play especially for the ps2 its unreal some of the things you can pull off in this game.i like how you have to wall ride alot i this game.I know have a love for jamie thomas as a skater he gets some awsome tricks.when before i was all about the birdman and muska.

Two days ago I bought this game... I wnet to my house and then I put the disc in my PS... A great intro!!! Then I began to play...
I select Kareem Campbell and the first stage: WHAT A INCREDIBLE STAGE!!! Bigger than any stage of THPS2!!! But... there weren´t differences between THPS2 and THPS3!!!
How awful!!! I think that the new version of Tony Hawk´s game will be incredible, but it is the same thing that THPS2. Only 2 or 3 new tricks on Kareem Campbell... The Specials Tricks were too different but any else was it...
Weel, I think: If you want to buy some sakter game, PLEASE, but THPS2 and enjoy it. Don´t spend your money in THPS3.

this is to dan. first off, bucky lasek skates a lot more vert than street, and although he is decent at street, there are tons of kids that kill it at street skateing, and second off if it werent for tony hawk, i bet yer poser a** wouldnt be skateboarding. if you would stop listening to all the rumors that little kids say, and actually look at all the things tony has done for the industry you would realise that he is a good role model, and is as far from sold out as anybody is. tony hawk still pushes vert skating to the limits. all props to tony ,Justin

obviously the people that are bashing this game dont know what they're talking about. i've been a skater for 13 years now. and who cares if the levels arent to realistic. he gave you real levels in the 1st 2 games. my god theres just no satisfying some people. its the 3rd from a series why cant you just be happy in something they worked hard for, and quit complaining that it only has the same people ... BIRDHOUSE IS HIS SPONSER DUMB__!! ..of course theres not gonna be much more else in lineup. god some people are stupid. for all the people that bashed this game with the stupidest remarks. get a life. i highly doubt you could make a much better game if given the money. thank you
