NEED NEW GAME39398

A gamer from atlanta, georgia says (28/Feb/2004):
if anyone from ea sports or any video game company is reading this pay attention there needs to be a descent lax video game i would buy it and i know many people who would considering lax is the top growing sport in the us(preferably not box because no one lives in canada) but any ways it needs to be exactly like madden (create plyer, franchise, GOOD GRAPHICS) and most kids would play this and me personally i play lax and at a lot of camps i get to meet pros and college players so don't just put the stars on there we like to see everyone thank you for listening
ps this would be a huge seller

pretty cool!30048

Troy from pittsburgh, PA. USA says (14/Aug/2003):
this game was really cool but could of bin better. They dont have a ref or any rules and if play lacrosse with out rules people would get killed! but on the other hand without rules the game is really exciting! i gave the game an 8 because the game was really really fun! they need to come out with a better version of it for playstation 2 and way better grapics for the game and more people will buy the game.

PS- the game should be nll lacrosse 2004 for PS2 way better huh!

Good Game3361

stewev says (4/Aug/2001):
This game is great. As a lacorsse player myself I have waited for a lacrosse video game. The controals were kinda hare to get used to, but after a little they became very intuitive. My friend bought and brought his playstation over to my house and we played it for hours istead of my Dreamcast. While i do think the graphics could have been better, they wern't all that bad. I hope a DC version is in the plans, cuz I would buy it in a heart beat. This game overall was very fun. It shares many similarities to Blitz football, like no refs, and you can get on fire. If you own a Playstation BUY THIS GAME!!!

Loved It !!!!!17974

A gamer from Frederick, Maryland says (21/Feb/2003):
Being a lacrosse player myself, I know what everything hould look like and how everything is done. This game, though lacking graphics, is overall a fun and enjoyable game. Most of the reviews say it lacks graphics, and it does! Though for the first lacrosse game ever made, it is descent! When you get to playing the game, and started having a BLAST like me and my friends have, you totally forget about the graphics. You can get this game pretty cheap now, so why not just go out and spend the cash. You might be dissapointed with the graphics, but i promise you, you will have a BLAST!!

Could be better29815

zac from Denver, Colorado, USA says (12/Aug/2003):
This game would be alot better if it were based on college schools and were made by EAsports. If Acclaim would have taken the time to make a decent game i would play it all the time, but they didnt so i dont even bother playing this game anymore. Thats my review.

CRAP!!2721

Ben T from Hastings, MN says (16/Jun/2001):
If you are a gamer who has no knowledge of the game Lacrosse you'd like this game of physical brutality. But frankly this game isn't lacrosse. In lacrosse there is use of midfielders attackmen and defensemen. In Blast "lacrosse" there are 4 "runners" and a goalie. if you know anything about lacrosse you know you have to cradle to keep the ball in your stick. I don't think the sticks barely move in this game, but i can't tell because the graphics are SO HORRIBLE! I know i shouldn't expect much from the first lacrosse game ever made but this simply isn't lacrosse. Usually sport video game usually follow all the rules first, in games like madden or NHL hockey. Then come along the NFL blitzes and all the no rules sports games. But the game of lacrosse gets screwed up the *** hole and acclaim puts out a no ref no rule rendition of lacrosse without even saying so. This game could have been so so SOOOO much better because lacrosse is a very exciting game, but acclaim just screwed it all up. If anyone that works for acclaim or the producers of the game is reading this i'd just like to say the following: you are a disgrace to this beutiful earth, and i pray to god that when you go to hell you will have to play your crappy "lacrosse" game for all eternity. the worst punishment a man could have. PLEASE CONTACT ME ON YOUR FEELINGS OF THE GAME

A good game, but the graphics are lacking2809

John Rosky from Minot, Montana, USA says (23/Jun/2001):
Ben T from Hastings obviously doesn't know anything about the game of lacrosse because Blast lacrosse is based on the NLL, which is Box Lacrosse, which has 5 players a side. This guy's mixed up with Field Lacrosse, which has 10 players a side and uses midfielders, attackmen, and defencemen.
Overall, I liked the game because of all the hitting and fast movement. If fine-tuned, this game would be a goldmine.

Really fun but could be better2856

Ryan from PHiladelphia Pa USA says (30/Jun/2001):
The game is a lot of fun and its cool to finally see a lacrosse video game. The only thing lacking are the graphics and the fact that there are only four players where there should be five. Hopefully this game will pave the way for other lax video games. If anybody important is reading this I think that a college lacrosse video game similar to NCAA Gamebreaker would do really well I know id buy it.

Good first game3250

BJ from FL says (27/Jul/2001):
All sports games have difficulty making the experience lifelike. For example in NBA jam you do not have to keep pushing a button to dribble. Likewise, in this game, as the first reviewer mentioned, you do not have to keep the ball in the stick, otherwise the gameplay is very realistic. I agree that the graphics could be much better.

could be a lot better...5111

Paul from da Ville, KY says (3/Jan/2002):
This game could have been a lot better if acclaim spent more time developing the game. For a first game, It should be an outdoor college lacrosse game for more depth and reality. Graphics could use a huge boost, they should resemble the latest games like madden 2k1 and nhl 2k1. As it is, it's too fast too control players/the ball, and needs to slow down a little so that u can make passes and have controlled AI teammates like in nhl games-crash the net, man to man defense, etc. Basically, EA sports should make the game for the ps one/2 or xbox.

Need an updated version13503

josh from Stockbridge, MA says (25/Dec/2002):
I love the actual game of lacrosse and am a player, so I was really excited to try out this game. I was disappointed in the graphics in this game which are really old-looking. It looks like a cartoon, rather than a real game. The animation is especially weak. Idle players all do the same thing, and "injured" players take forever to get up. I'm really hoping for a newer, updated & better game with individual facial features for each player and custom-made teams and players, in addition to the preset ones. There is limited flexibility built into the game. It should be more like NHL Hitz or FIFA 2003 with more options and variations. In the current game, not all the buttons are used and the game-play is choppy. Also, it's not realistic enough. The sound bites are really awful. Many games take real sound bites from live games with known commentators and recombine them to be used at appropriate moments. The extras are not there either – such as "fan cams", and there’s no humor in the game. Lacrosse is the only truly American sport – sorry, baseball fans -- invented by the Native Americans. It is growing exponentially in popularity and deserves a quality, state-of-the-art video game. Nevertheless, as it is the only lacrosse game available, it is fun to play.

NEED A BETTER LACROSSE GAME23213

Jeremy from Denver,Colorado,USA says (10/May/2003):
I guess blast lacrosse is ok if your bored. And you can play it for a little while but then you start to get a headach from the horrible graphics. after you have played it so many times you say to yourself WHAT THE HELL WHY DON'T THEY JUST MAKE A BETTER LACROSSE GAME. If they made a lacrosse game with as good as graphics as those stupid boring baseball games it be way cooler. I know if they made a lacrosse game with good graphics the right rules and updated players and teams the makers would rich because I know there are thousands of lacrosse players out there including myself that would buy it just like that.

A GOOD START26314

Tyler from Holden,USA says (26/Jun/2003):
This game has awful graphics, but it is lacrosse- the greatest game ever. For the next lacrosse game, put not only better graphics and updated rosters but, the MLL teams- Rochester Rattlers, Baltimore Bayhawks, New Jersey Pride, Boston Cannons, Long Island Lizards, and the Bridgeport Barrage. Blast Lacrosse is a foundation for a future lacrosse video game that will be the best video game ever made.

walter p body from montreal, quebec.canada says (11/Aug/2003):
for the person who said that you need midfielders and attackmen, this game is a box lacrosse game! pretty crappy but i give it 8 because i love lacrosse so i play it !!!!! they really need to make a better lacrosse game, with better gameplay and graphics, EA sports should make it, they usually make great sport games, all lacrosse players would buy it plus other people would buy it just to play and learn abouit the sport!

new game coming out44198

Chris from Hamburg,NY USA says (22/Feb/2005):
I haven't played Blast, i just bought it off e-bay tho, the NLL has annouced this month tho that Activision is going to develope a new game based on the league, Activision is better then aclaim but they are still not EA Sports, if you haven't, write to EA, and if you have, write to them again, EA would do it right, plus they could get $100 out of most of us each year,LOL, college, NLL, & MLL, plus vintage teams, ( no team was ever better then the 92-93 Bandits) and have them all linked linked like they do for football, it would be a great game series.
