I choose Elli because she is very cute than other girls and she like a flower so I like flower too.I will play with a good player and I must to get marry by Elli.

The music is just great and the sound is clear and doesn't get stuck somewhere in the middle of the game. The storyline is fascinating and can really get me glued playing it for hours on end. Not to forget the festivals...they're so fun and original, especially the Tomato Festival!!! And the cutscenes are very interesting too. Also, I learned quite a lot about time management and farming through this game. I think that Natsume did a really great job on this game. The best thing about the game is the way it resembles real life, with the need to build relationships and work for a high percentage for the farm at the same time.

Deadly Tools In 48 Hours
You can get very proficient with your tools and have them ready to be upgraded quickly in two days by doing the following. On the very first day of the game (before leaving the house) grab any tool out of the toolbox as soon as you can.
Use it over and over until it hits 400%; your guy will fall down automatically once he is exhausted (he will fall down and get back up after a little while). Now when you leave the house on the first day, go to the Hot Springs before using the tool and stay in there for two hours. While there, fill up the watering can.
On the second day, before leaving the house, use the watering can until it too goes to 400%. Again, go to the springs immediately after. Your tools will all be ready to upgrade to Mystrile, and the game has barely started!
Hint: Keep Hothouse from Being Damaged
Whenever there is a hurricane, there is a high chance of your hothouse getting damaged. A way to prevent this is to put your dog in the hothouse.
KAREN
Use the following trick for an easy way to get Karen to like you. Get the biggest rucksack, and get the winery lady to sell you as many wines as you can hold. Then, give them all to Karen. If you are fast, you can make two trips a day.
This trick requires the largest house and icebox (refrigerator) and the largest rucksack. Go to the wine maker's house and buy nine bottles of wine. Bring it home and put it in your icebox. Continue this until they are closed for the day. When they are closed, take nine bottles out and give them to Karen. This works very well. I can get about 63 bottles a day because of this.
Buy the last rucksack and buy as much wine as you can carry. Go to Karen and she will blush. Her love meter will go up with every nine bottles or so. After that is done, go to the place where the cedar tree is located. Collect as many flowers as you can hold and bring them to her. Also at the hot spring once at the start of the game, she will appear and say that you are looking sad. She will ask what is wrong. Answer "Love life" and her love meter will turn purple. She will console you every time you have a problem. Try to find where the winter flower is located and her love meter will go up. At the Cooking Festival, talk to her only and she will win and like you more.
If you have Karen on a blue heart she will give you Moon Drop Seeds at some point. Note: You must not be married to anyone.
If you like Karen, give her wine as much as you can at Fall 15 to better your relationship.
Take your dog to her every day, and, while holding the dog, talk to her. Her heart level will go up for every time you talk to her with your dog!

Once you're married, you can continue to ply your affections with candy and flowers and so forth, and if you continue lovin' her up, she may have a baby. Every red-blooded hetero boy's dream, yes?
Now, conversely, if there were the option of playing the girl and having your pick of five guys to date... do you really think you'd need to buy him presents and candy and flowers to convince him to impregnate you? Shoot, you could skip directly to that step without even starting a farm!
The gender issues in this game are so deep that, if Natsume did give the option of playing a female character, it would probably take a completely different game, like the dual versions of Pokemon. This version would have to be written from a woman's point of view, which takes into account the problems that the women of HM face without the male character's help: helping their own family business, courting the only boy in the village, getting him to like you, getting married, bringing a child to term and raising it yourself! You couldn't accomplish those things in a typical HM game just by adding ponytails to the boy's sprite.

For the girls.i like karen more than the others.Popuri are childish,ann is a tomboy,elli is silly and mary is a obedient girl but ugly.(juz kidding).U can keep on chasing your girls until her heart is red in colour.tat means she is ready to marriy.]
For the animals,u can rear dog,chicken,cow,sheep and horse.U can enlarge your barn,your own house and even build a hot house to planting crops although it is winter.
The festival is soooooooooo interesting.U can brought your animals to take part at the festival such as horse festival,cow festival,sheep festival..........you can also gave some gifts like flowers,bracelet and many-many more at thanksgiving day and on her birthday.karen's birthday is 15 fall,popuri's birthday is 3 summer but i don't know the other bacause i haven't tryng them.

There is 5 girls to chose from. You have Karen, Mary, Elli, Ann and Popuri. You have to marry one of them. You raise up there hearts my giving them presents. You start off with, blue, purple, yellow, orange then red! Once it's red you buy a blue feather. You ask her to marry you and if she says yes, You got a wife!(you have to have the 2nd house extension.) If you continue to give her presents for 30 days , she will become pregnant and have a baby. She gives you clues like, I dont feel goood. You also have to Take care of animals and work on your farm. You should also make friends . You can cook, go to festivals, enter in festivals and sell things to make money! I play Harvest Moon every day. It is very fun and is changelling. Thats why I like it!! It also is a quick game. You have around 12 hours in a day!(Regular 5 min. each hour. If that). Harvest Moon is good for me and it can be good for you.

When i had played the game for a while and wanted to get married i gave the blue feather to one of the girls. After the scene in the church she asks what i should call her and when we go to bed the screen turns all black!! The game freezes every time i try! It's always after i get married. At first í thougt that it was my Playstation that was broken but i tried to get married on a friends Playstation and Playstation 2, but it still wont work!!! I've heard that others have the same problem so it's not just my disc. I really want to get married so does anyone know if there is a way i can do it with gameshark or something like that.

there r no instructions and the grahics r kinda poor, but the game itself makes up for it.
I called my dog Blazer and the character Tyson, my farm's name is Mt.Fugi.
I jusst got wen i went in blockbusters 2 return and trade an dumb game from the other day, and decided 2 get this one, i dont own it yet, but where can i buy anyway, ill just ask 4 it 2 be on hold(since there selling all there psone games anyway)

It has similar stucture for the people from harvest moon 64, as an example big cylindar shaped heads and they are all short, or at least most of them are like this. I love the songs on this as I do on all of the harvest moon games. It has a great replayability I think because you can marry so many different girls, do so many different things(plant different crops, have different animals, have more extentions, I could go on forever), and so much more! I love the amount of time they give you, it's perfect. It has so many and I love that the elves can help you, unlike any of the other harvest moon games. This game also teaches you some important lessons in life such as don't drink, don't woo multiple girls at a time, don't be mean to your wife or she'll walk out on you, don't treat your animals badly or they will be taken or die, and it also teaches the responsibility of animals and shows you what real life is like, ups and downs. This also allows you to have a child and watch him grow.(since it never lets you have a baby girl) I think the only bad side to this game is that like most other harvest moon games YOU CAN'T BE A GIRL! But besides the bad one of my favorite features is all the improvments you can make on you house and how they look when they are done. I also like that you don't have to feed your horse or dog. Their are so many great things about this game I could go on forever, this is a great overall game with lots of fun packed in to every part of the CD's mega bytes or whatever is in it.

Pros:
Having a few interesting festivals once in awhile, chasing the girls you like in town and some mini stories(If you are there at the right place and the right time.)now and then, for all i can say is that you can't really see that kind of things in most of the RPG. And i really like Elli =)
Cons:
There are events to make your 'hard' and 'boring' farm life better in the game, but still farming most of the time does make you abit bore as time goes. And sometime you even get 'mad' because the times seem to go just too slow and you just couldn't wait for the event you been waiting for to come, or have too much things to finish, you hope that time would go slower. For another thing, especially for those who palyed for four years in the game, it like it actually takes you months to complete a game that almost goes almost again and again?
That all i have to say because i really don't want to offence others out there who like this game, not that i'm saying i hate it, and still it a nice game to go for if you like animals, nature stuffs and so on...

| Yup, great game | | ckrimbro from Boringsville, Texas says (19/Jul/2004): | To start off this game has some of the best SIM/FARMING of all the Harvest Moons I've played(I'm not saying that the others weren't fun). Much has changed compared to the 64 version. The town is alive.
MUSIC 5: The music is ordinary, not to good though....
GRAPHICS 7: The visual apperance is great. I especially like winter minus the STORMS...My poor hot house. I will always remember you...
GAMEPLAY 8: Fairly typical for the average Harvest moon player. Loading could be faster(Its just a PSX game anyways :P), and lets not get into the fishing part of the game. Where's Jaws when you need him!? The Festival could use a kick in the fun department, but they keep you going. The ability to transfer you animals was just pure genius!
CHALLENGE 9: If you have never planned a day in your life stay away from this game. It requires day to day planning. To do everything in this game will take even the most devoted player to the edge. With recipes, harvesting, festivals, fishing, and finding your true love this game offers alot.
if you're looking for a farming simulator with a huge story line then I recomend you play this game and if you don't I will come to your house and beat you with a blunt knife!

Anyways if you're not sure about this game, then rent it, but its better than playing Pokemon all day long.
