HBO Boxing 2 a must |

I think that HBO Boxing could be a better game but it does have a good side to it. Unlike the Knockout King series, HBOB has a career mode that can last forever, unfortunately you'll end up fighting the same five or six guys over and over again. I think if Acclaim could make another boxing game with more fighters and a more free-style career mode in which you will be able to negotiate fights with the top ranked fighter or lowest ranked fighter regardless of your ranking it would be much more fun. The graphics are pretty shabby, but I enjoy the game. Like I said, a more free-style open ended career mode would make a much better game for HBO Boxing 2003! I love the idea of selecting your corner crew and the ability to retire your fighter as well. Improve your game and they (consumers) shall buy!!!

To start i would like to say that this game contains bad graphics on all characters such as the ONE referee,and the boxers look like they have been shaped and molded like they were made out of putty. When fighting i realized that the punches being thrown were as slow as a drunk slug, the reality of boxing is that a boxing match does not last for one or two rounds (tops in this game)they last at least well over 4 to 12, i have never once in this game had to take it to that many rounds, i beat my opponent in carrer mode every time (way to easy) in one or two rounds at most(and that is on the hardest selection). The sound aspect isnt good either, the players are silent,and the referee sounds like someone is pluging up his nose. And another thing boxers have their cutman and other people in the corner at the end of a round. when i play all i see is my boxer sitting alone in his corner and then if i was cut it would say if my cut got better, but who healed it? there are not enough characters in the game all it has are some lousy unknown boxers and maybe a boxer u created and that one annoying refferee that says nothing but counts and goes "ur out" that is the only voice in the whole game. i do not reccomend the game at all and it should be looked at and then sent back out.

This is the best boxing game out right now,
sure it doesn't have the graphics of the rest
but for gameplay no other boxing game can beat it...

This has got to be the worst boxing game ever, Here are details of why its horrible first of all the boxers look sorry because it makes it look like they are made of clay that also includes the referee . This game also lacks real voilence such as blood and the boxers dont have any voices or grunts, also it gets annoying hearing that awful repetitive music, and the career mode is to easy and short also the female boxers are very ugly and fake looking as the male boxers are ,you cant edit a boxer unless you try the career mode option and the create a ppv isnt worthwhile at all , The game designers should have given this game a second thought before actually realising it to shelves, for a better boxing game try the knockout kings series instead and stay away from this one.

i think the game was good. but the thing i dont like about it that the fights dont least that much. they also dont have ocsar de la hoya and felix tito. if they would have some better boxers maybe the game will be a hard. i think the career mode should be longer.a other thing i did not like war that julio cesar chavez was on there. i think they should have light weight boxer like ricardo lopez. i like the switching hand thing that war good.

The game has great potential ,but can't understand why both HBO Boxing and KO Kings 2001, have female boxers but no way for men to box them as men, why would a man want to box as a girl? Is it just for women boxers then, or girls to play? I doubt if thats what Acclaim intended, but thats what they have done! They ruined what could have been a perfect boxing game! The only thing missing is the ring card gals like on KO Kings but they dropped the ball on making them available as secret boxers I bet thousands of men would have liked to box them. So even though they got me to buy this game I will be very cautious on their next boxing effort, I have a boxer W60 and L0 60 KO's and nothing except a few secrets unveiled! That so far makes it better then KOK2001, but just barely, the graphics are good the voices are good ,but only one ref loses points, changing hands is easy so I don't know what is the big deal on that, training sessions are tiring but well worth the hard work, work on Stamina, Strength and Cut opponent , the ref will stop fights quick as you pound your opponent from hand to hand one jab after the other slip in some uppercuts and dound they go!Lets let the guys box the ladies and visa versa ,and both sexes will have fun ! Bring on HBO Boxing 2! Chuck D.
