I mean the game is basically the same as it was last year,graphics are the same it could use alot of improving.Also the 1 on 1 thing it's not working very well,and to that 3 on three comment try nba street that's an amazing game of course it's on playstation 2 but still try and get it.Let me see the graphics on the beach are terrible atleast have tree's look half descent.The people should atleast look like the players 3-D and not flat.I like the idea of the challenges but they where to easy to beat.I completed the challenges,but in about a week they where beatin, alittle to easy don't you think?.Also there should be a dunk contest, I enjoy the easy 3 point contest, but add something new,think of all of the AllStar activities,there's the rookie game,dunk contest,3point contest,2 ball women and men,there's so much you could add,and make the gameplay harder the game has been mastered so easily.I also liked how they added in how the ball goes in different ways I like that before it was swish or back board.ADD THE INTRENCES THAT MAKES IT SO MUCH BETTER AS I WAS WATCHING THE NBA FINALS THE SIXERS INTRO WAS SO AMAZING,it's on the pc version it's so great how they come out and bump chest.Give the players more emotion when they win the nba finals all they do is jump around and that's about it...where are they hugz where are the people running out,for ex; they Chicago Bulls when they won streamers michael jordan jumped on the table cheered his fans on....champaign...stuff fallin from the ceiling balloons the whole 9 yards.You should also have interviews when players get injured and you get the report, or say the match up is starting and you wan't the players view on how the game will go and after the game.Basically i don't think it can be done on this playstation i guess that should be left to be put on the playstation 2.Add intronces please that would make it so much better add more hot music tracks....more music that's updated come on Montell jordan is good but it get's annoying...and his song isn't even being played while your on the court.I need voices when shaq is charging in to the whole i here nothing but someone hitting the floor where is the communication? where are the different types of shoes comeon jordan alwayz where his jordan, iverson always wears his iverson this is what makes the player stand out besides there skills where are they corn rolls i mean i see them but they don't good at all.Iversons facial features look nothing like him.Let's see the audience jump up and down what's up with the flat people it's terrible.What better then having people giving you a standing ovation when you've worked your magic on the court and you are being substituded? comeon i need people getting up and cheering where's the emotion? i have more way more they should take me in a room and tell me to give them the ideas cause i have many to make this much much better

The game has a lot of potential. It should look a lot better in the future.
It sort of looks like it was rushed to market. The gameplay is hard to control. You can get caught up in spin moves and crossovers which can lead you out of bounce.
You can make the home team entrance a lot better and realler. Everyone is jumping around like idiots. I was playing the game at night and the entrance scared the poop out of me. What happened to the traditional entrances, you know the one were the team makes to lines and the starting five run down the lane when their name, college, height, and position is called. C'mon EA. Watch a real game and acctually look at the entrances. If you look closely not everyones is the same.
Some of the players look real, but some of them look nothing like their couterparts, for example Vince Carter. And KG looks like he has some kind of mutant fungus growing on his head. Try to make the graphics a little more detailed and a little more real, like Madden 2001.
The cut scenes are great. I love the high fives, but sometimes they interrupt with the game play and become a hassal.
The sound is great, but if you're going to have the players argue with the referees I think it would help if you add some referees. And while your at it add the COACHES!!!
A franchise mode would be nice.
I love the way the players jump up and down with joy when they win a championship, but you could make that look a little realler by adding a trophy presentation to the winning team. With the players holding the trophy and the fans and media on the court flashing cameras.
Those are just small things that are sure to be added by the next Live.

i think it has improved alot from live 99. but the graphics should improve in next year's game.you should be able to unlock
dennis rodman and kareem abdul jabbar.and some rookies are missing such as mo-pete from raptors.the 3 point shootout is cool but you should also get slam dunk competition as well.
instead of drafting actual pros in the nba draft mode , you
should be able to draft future stars from ncaa.there should be teams like ea sports for guys who created the game such as montell jordan.get a streetball team like motown from nba 2k1 for dreamcast.include the spacejam team monstars and tunesquad
so kids would love to see bugs bunny play basketball.

Overall the game is very good, but many of the rookies that Chicage drafted ARE not in the draft such as Marcus Fizer, El-mein, and Jamal Crawford. These guys are the future of Chicago. Also the drafting systems sucks, in the game if you get first pick you get first pick in every round making one team very dominate. The system should be if you get first pick in the first round then you get the last pick in the second round, and the first pick in the third round. This way the players are more distributed. It will make on one team very dominate. NBA shootout's draft system should be adopted for all games.

NBA Live 2001, is a fanastic game, but there is a serious lack of codes for the PSX/PS1 version of the game. So far from a month of looking, i havecome across 4 different cheats for the PS2 version, but one measly westside court opening cheatand NO exploder codes.... at all!!
Although this is a great game.... some of the american terminology is not understood in the British basketballing scene.... So if anyone could inform/e-mail me of any cheats/codes i would be delighted... AND.... does anyone know what a double-double and a triple-double is, if so e-mail me (even my coach don't know!!)

This game is alright, I play it all the time. The NBA Challenge is fun, and addictive. I can't stop playing it. Anyway, I thought it lacked creativity. I mean, it would have been cool if you could unlock players like Dennis Rodman and why is there no Jabar? There isn't enough variety of dunks to. For example, why can't MJ dunk from the foul line? Why can't Vince Carter dunk over a 7'0" European? (Yes, I understand that the Sydney Olympics started after the game was released) Just a few suggestions for next time though. Also, the 360 dunk is lame.

tha game is tight, post play makes it much better. Missing some players though, such as the man keith closs. create a player was lacking i thought. you should be able to add knee high socks and such. also jason williams is bald now. you should be able to edit the way players look to, like giving players like j-dub a head band or taking allen iverson cornrows out and letting him play with a fro. but the game is good, 2002 though should have all of what i ask for

Overall NBA Live 2001 is a pretty good game,but I don't really see a difference from 2001 & 2000.And when you make a swish it looks really fake its like the whole net just gets flat and goes up.There also isn't many diffrent ways the ball goes into the basket it either hits off the back of the rim, swishs,or banks off the backboard.I guess that all has to do with the graphics. Do a litte better next year.

There's no doubt about it, NBA Live gets better every year! However I was disappointed to see poorly the street ball portion was put together. The bystanders look like moving cardboard cutouts, and don't get me started on the awful palm trees. I was at least hoping for a three-on-three option, yet was disappointed. The NBA Challenges are close to impossible to entirely complete!

Nba live 2001 is a fantastic game it has shades of the older ones ( last year ), but the graphics are outrageous. The game play itself is very easy for such a complex game environment and the soundtrack is outstanding. The only fault I've seen is the trailing graphics, when a screen switches you can still see the last frame. Suggest this game to any real baller!

This game is pretty good. On Playstation the graphics aren't going to get but so good. I enjoy playing this game tough. I like the 3point contest and the one-on-one games. This game is a good buy. If you buy this game you won't be but so dissapointed. I like better graphics that's just because I own a Dreamcast and the graphics on that are kewl.

I liked the game a lot but it was practically the same as nba live 2000. The graphics were the same and the way the ball was shot. The only difference was they had no legends like last year. What's really bad is some of the players are missing in the game so if you don't see them you don't have them avalible.

I really liked that game.But it has a few mistakes like the audience seem to be card board people.I think they should add more contests like a slam dunk competion.they should add more ways of dunking.Next year there should be legendary players.You should also see the coaches.I give 8 points.

I think they should have teams of the past like in Madden. They should have the '97 Bulls, '85 Celtics and so on. I agree with the others that some players are missing and you should add headbands and knee high socks. Overall this game is excellent and should be better next year

NBA Live 2001 is a pretty good game. Its not a whole lot different from last years NBA Live though. I would give the game 8 out of 10 points, but since it has Kevin Garnett on the cover, and im from minnesota and im a big Timberwolves fan, i have to give it an extra point.

The post play is much better than last year, although the crossover could use some work. The over all controls are pretty good the graphics get slightly better every year. As for the soundtrack by montell jordan, I love it. It does a good job of making you want to play.

Excellent game, big improvement from NBA Live 99 which was the last game in the series i bought, but I feel the game play needs to be slowed down, the ball and players move just a tad too fast. the Soundtrack with Montell Jordan is great. over all I gotta give it a 9.
