From the moment you turn this game on you get a real sense of what the WWF is actually like. With fueds and an ace storyline (that even follows what actually happened in the likes of Backlash and Judgement Day).
The wrestlers look like themselves (just look at Steven Richards!)and do as they do (just look at Rikishi dance!)
the gameplay is ace. It's something you can play again and again, especially with "Create a Wwrestler" which you can tweek every aspect, from moves to apperance.
Smackdown 2 takes every good thing form the first game and make them better.

Smackdown is good smackdown2 is better , but smackdown shut your mouth is the best. Anyways Smackdown 2 has good gameplay graphics .... the only problems this game has is that it takes 2 long to load and it doesnt need all those scenes in season mode.
After playing for 5 years in season mode u unlock all the moves, ans some anvance and standard parts for CAW. I Crated a perfect exect loook of RVD and is was able to give him all the moves he uses in the ring eveng rolling tunder (with help of a created taunt)And feal free to IM me for codes and hints. This game is so awesome. The first thing you notice in the game is that the wrestlers are a lot smarter than in SD1. There are more ways to do moves, and it's a lot more realistic too. There are a lot more moves too, but not the most I have seen. I have no Idea what that guy was thinking when you cant Powerbomb people through tables, cause you can. The season mode is great, but you have to take advantage of when you get to fight, cause popularity is everything in Season mode. And you dont get to fight in like 3 weeks. But after your character famous the game goes smoothly.

There are good and bad points for this game. First, the bad points:
Loading time for ages and sometimes for about 1 second of action, then it has to load again!
Season mode takes too long. Gets boring after a long while.
You can only put them through the middle of the hell in a cell.
Now, the good points:
Create a character mode is good. You can make exactly what you want.
Lots of cool matches. Good for beating someone too a pulp.
You can jump off the hell in a cell through the table. (I think this is only if you use a gameshark. Overall a pretty good game.

I really loved Smackdown! but I was and still am disappointed with 2. My reasoning is that my created wrestlers arent being injected into the storyline in Season mode. I know they're there cuz I get these piddly little 1 minute backroom scraps with guys but I never get any matches unless I join a tag team. It's really the only problem I have with the game the gameplay is excellent and the graphics are nice. Where its really lacking is in sound. I like the announcers that RAW and WARZONE had not 2 or 3 tracks of music, the new simming is annoying too.

Smack Down 2is by far the best wrestling game to hit the playstation by far (with the possible eception of Vanda vs PEN15). Well smack Down 2 has all the thrills and spills of TLC matches and hell in the cell matches. If this is nt enough for all you wrestling fans there is the possibility of having over 50 wrestlers from your favourite Vince Mc Mahon to the most hated Scotty 2 Hotty. In the words of a great philosopher "I pity the fool"who wont buy this great game from the makers of "Pen15 Vs Carlin" and "Vanda vs PEN15" so you know its good.

The greatest wrestling game on the playstation. Over 50 superstars and it's more up to date. There are more moves and matches like Hell In A Cell, Casket, Special King Of The Ring, Slobberknocker, Hardcore Time Limit Title and TLC matches.
The create a wrestler feature is heaps better with Original (CAW from Smackdown!) and Advanced (You can alter everything). There are moves and some special moves and CAW clothing you unlock in season mode. You can also choose what poster you want. This is better than any other wrestling game I've seen.

Smackdown! 2:Know Your Role, was by far the best wrestling game sofar, as far as up to date wrestlers goes. However, the constant loading screens and intros to matches in season mode, makes it damn near impossible to finish a year, or a month for that matter, and have time to spare. I strongly suggest that if THQ plans on another follow-up, that all the "Create-a-..." modes, should be on a separate disk, making room for loading time on the main disk. Dispite this fault, I think this is the best yet, and I hope it only gets better!

SMACKDOWN WAS ONE OF, IF NOT THE GREATEST GAME ON THE PLAYSTATION. THEN CAME THE SEQUAL.
Smackdown 2 will make you love wrestling if you dont yet. The graphics are amazing. All the favourite wrestlers and finishers are included, even the interviewers and presenters like Micheal Cole get in on the action. You can wrestle anywhere and unlock new areas in the season. It is definately worth the money. YOU WILL NEVER EVVVEEEER SEE THE LIKES OF IT ON THE PSX AGAIN.
It's the best and thats the bottom line cause STONE COLD said so!

this game is really good cause it does not deal with health of wrestlers. also we can give secial moves.the rock says u have to be crazy not to like this. the rock rates this game as 8 instead of 9 or 10 cause of the loading time taken in royal rumble. also there are a few flaws. like we cannot pin our opponent on the cage in hell-in-a-cell match and in tag team table match we only have to eliminate 1 opponent when it should be both. we should be able to select the wrestlers we want in royal rumble and KOR. STILL IT IS GOOD

smackdown2 is definitely better than smackdown but the season mode is annoying. If I choose someone like Joey abs. I must have to wait at least 2 to 3 months till I make a cameo appearance. After playing the season mode for a year. (from backlash to wrestlemania)I can unlock players like the mean streat posse and shawn micheals but their moves are not realistic. Shawn micheals can even do the fame-asser. Take away all these faults and it can be the best playstation game in the world. By the way I really enjoy wwf new york.

This game is AWESOME if you watch wrestling every week or even once a month. Heck, non-wrestling fans might even like it. It's the first game to have TLC and HIAC matches, which is the best part of the game.
Pros - new matches, tons of superstars, the best create-a-player on the ps1.
Cons-long loading times - this game would be a 10+ without them, but I have to deduct a point for that.
Also, in career mode, my created character NEVER gets a title shot, and he's the best wrestler(in rankings) Why? I don't know.

Its all good every thing about it!! just one set back tho.It has loading frome hell but its werth it all.I highley recomend it to all gamers. its also got some of youre favoret WWF characters like Stone Cold Steve Astin,The Rock,Kane,The Undertaker,Triple H,Vince and Shane MicMan,Mankind,Micfoley,etc.But i dont have eney of the new guys in WWE But thats ok.Graphicks kick ass and creat a character rocks.Take it frome me im a personal game rater.SO GIVE ME A HELL YEA!!!!

Smackdown 2 is the best wrestling game ever made dispite the almost endless season and terrible loading screens. I've played all of the other Smackdown games but i was disapointed with all of them. They seem to slow and there create a character modes don't seem to give the same kind of creativity like in Smackdown 2. I've played the game many hours with my friends mostly playing in the iron man testing our created characters against each other. I only wish the next smack down game was as fast as this one.

Finally the rock has come back to the playstation! This has to be
the most electrifying game i have ever played. Triple H should
hand it his nickname as it truly is THE GAME.It will take you so long to unlock everything that when you have finished you will have cobwebs between your arms. This is a great game so go out and buy it, open the box, take it out, dust it off, turn it sideways, AND SHOVE IT STRAIGHT INTO YOUR PLAYSTATION!!!

Yeh it is mad, the graphics could of been a bit better but it's still about a 9/10 the 1 point could of been gained if I could accullay fight in title matches and custom made super stars could win championships coss i could absolutly smash everyone with the guy i made. I also think it takes tolong loading for everythingbut it's still pretty good, you should be able to get tables and ladder and stuff from under the ring in any match at any time too, but still it was awesome and it's worth the money!

Smackdown 2 could very well be the best game on Playstation. The graphics, matches, and tag team moves are superb. The create options are very good except create a ppv(makes no sense).But there are a few points which make the game's level fall. Like no BIG SHOW, No Dudley Boys moves on tables(although they were the inventers of this match), no commentary, long load times etc. All in all the game is a much better version of the original one. Wrestling fans should add this to their collection.

Smackdown 2 is an awsome game (dipite the drawbaks). I have to say that its almost realistic with the entrence video its like watching it on tv. A really big drawbak is that the loading screans get anoying. and u cant use takers bike as a wepon. this game has something that most wwf-wwe games dont have nearly no glitches. in warzone 4 the n64 u put in a code and the game will freeze you also get unknowns people w/other wrestlers moves and stats how cool is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First things first the graphics are poor i mean does the rock really look like an elephant i think not and does austin really look like a horses rear again i think not.Especially in season mode when you do it with a created character it takes roughly a game year before you even get a match but if that wasn't enough it includes all the rubbish scenes in between and quite frankly there is no need for it. If you want a smackdown game get smackdown:shut your mouth.

THQ Have released the worst wrestling game ever. After playing the table matches and Ladder matches, I find they are totally unrealistic, as You can`t powerbomb people through tables and the ladder match it`s just plain luck if you get the belt or not. As for the charactors, they look quite unrealistic. Test looks like a girl and Big Vis just looks like a big bomb. If there's one game you should never E-V-E-R buy it`s Smackdown 2. Trust me, Raw is much better
