I gotta say I've been addicted to this game for a while. The varity of matches is amazing, ladder, tables, caskets, but my personal favorite, TLC (tables ladders and chaires). The character creating is great, you can choose from standard and advanced parts, and even choose some parts from the precious Smackdown! I even made a third hardy boy. The season mode is great, you can even get asked to interfere in matches. But of coarse when Vince McMahon asks me, I accept, then beat the %$#< remove me > at out of him instead! It also has chicks like Lita and Trish Stratus. So ya know its gotta be good. They even have the ocasional beuty contest (rarely). This is all why I gave it a 10 out a 10!

This is the best game ever the grapics are amazing the story line is great and the music videos good sound great picture not like wwf no mercy for n64 or smackdown 1 and the matches are fantastic tlc,hell in the cell,cage,casket and more and the unknown guys u unlock are secret character moves such as ric falre,scoot hall,goldberg,and the hidden character such as shawn micheal,stone cold and others and the way to make a charater is fantastic it even go down to the smallest ditail such as the eyes anyone who doesnt like this game or dosent buy it has to be crazy i sware no i promise u will never get sick of this game aso go out and get a copy u dont know what your missing.

Like I said I was shocked when i got smackdown 2. I still think its the best graphic wise and gameplay but the little things let it down. eg. table matches are not all that enjoyable as all the moves are very unrealistic through the tables also there are only two moves i can do (if you can help me let me know) these are piledriver and powerbomb. Also like everyone is saying season mode has been a faliure (other than cutscreens) Long loading times and lack of chances to fight with created wrestlers really let it down. If i am sounding negative its because I was ready for a game with all the bad aspects of the last game to be better and more but it just has not delivered.

This game could have been a lot more better. I have a list of improvements if THQ decides to make WWF Smackdown 3.
1) There is too much loading. There should be two separate discs. One for all the create a p.p.v./stable/etc. And the rest on the other disc.
2) The graphics aren't that good. There should be better graphics.
3) There should be a "create an arena". Where you can put hidden weapons in a trash can and build whatever you you want.
4) The season mode takes tooooooo long.
5) You should be able to do two different special moves. Like L1 for one special. And L1+D-pad button for another special.
Those are my suggestions for improvments for smackdown 3.

I bought Smackdown! 2 today, and have been playing it non stop all day on my PC.. Yes, thats right PC. I use Bleem! and this excellent emulator gives me graphics 10 times better than if you play the game on the Playstation, plus the loading times are non existent. It goes straight from menu to match in about 10-20 seconds, and simulating a match only takes 5 - 10 seconds, instead of the 30 - 60 on the PS. The game is amazing, with more matches than any other wrestling game ever made.. I especially love the Hell in a Cell match. Buy it, buy it now, and buy Bleem! as well, because you haven't experienced Smackdown! 2 until you play it with Direct 3D acceleration!!!

It Is Simply The Best Wrestling Game Ever! The way the game was made was brilliant, i mean, you can make up to ten of your own players with any accessories you may think of, the graphics are also very relistic, (for a playstation) and you can go all over different areas besides just the ring which is quite the original idea, i also thing it is cool how you can bring old legends back to life by using the body parts you can unlock in season mode along with any other item or character you can unlock. I play this game quite often with my friends and it is just as if not more exciting than the time before, because it seems as if you can do something new every time

If you like putting people trough tables, crackin' backs with anything you can find this is the game for you.
This is a great game with superstars from Stone Cold Steeve Austin to Essa Rios. It has many game modes like cage matchs, hell in a cell matchs and TLC matchs.
The create a superstar is the best ever by choosing the crowd signs and being able to come out on a motor bike like the Undertaker.
The game also includes stables like DX, Too Cool, The McMahoon Family and Edge and Christian. You can also make the stables that are not all ready in the game.
The career mode is the best I've ever seen with backstage beat ups and controversy.

It would of been better if it had some more kinds of matches like first blood,last man standing,tag team tlc matches,and tag team battle royal's.And a very old match like tag team matches with dumpster rules.Then the game would'nt be so boring.I hope any no WWF games won't be so boring.The only game that was good was WWF No mercy for n64 it had more options.And you could make more people.And have more of a Wardrobe and when you have a enjured arm or leg or etc,you really show it.And you have a real manger at yuor side or tag partner.But back to smackdown2 I think when they make the next game they should make it more realistic.Thats what I think.

Well basically, this is the best wrestling game on any system in my opinion. With the exeption of it loading after a wrestler is thrown out (Royal Rumble mode) and no voices it would be the #1 game world wide.Also the create a charecter option is the best i've ever seen, being able to create everything on your "CAW" from head to toe,One more thing sd2's wrestler entrances could be better, not that their not great already but, i would like to see the wrestler come down the ramp, get into the ring and perform his/hers trademark entrance instead of them walking and seeing the video in the background the whole time. That Concludes my reveiw.

WWF SMACKDOWN 2 could be a 10 game but due to way too much loading time it lacks. In Smackdown 1 there were was no loading time in Royal Rumble matches but in this game there is loading time for a new character. The Simulation in season mode takes way too long. Also Hell in a Cell matches you have to wait a while before you can climb the cage. The story board mode is great especially if you pick Triple H, but if you don't pick him you're stuck for a while. My last complaint with this game is if you're the WWF Champ you have to constantly defend in 4 way and 3 matches every show. But definetely better than your average wrestling game.

This game is no doubt the best game on Playstation. The graphics in Smackdown 2 are oustanding! There are many famous superstars to pick from, or you can make your own character! Even though it might not have some superstar's current music, Smackdown 2 has great entrances and entrance music. The high-flying ladder matches are great, and the hardcore matches are brutal! You'll play Smackdown 2 for hours and won't realize it! Smackdown 2 definently deserves a great review. This game was way better than Smackdown 1, and is the greatest game to play on Playstation. You'll have plenty of fun playing and competing against other wrestlers.

I think, this game is the best wrestling game i've ever played. But, its weakness is It has no comentator ( JR and Jerry Lawler )
and the wrestlers are too quiet. They don't scream, or speak ( for example stone cold's taunt). I have a problem. I saw on Internet, wwf smackdown 2 released on November 20th. But i've gotten it before November 15th. When I played it, it was normal. But when i played season, it was hang in king of the ring. This case happened too on spider man, driver 2 and smackdown 1. By the way, in this game i've created Scott Steiner, Old Sting, Mike Awesome, Raven and Goldberg. The best one is Scott Steiner.

I think this is the best wrestling game ever it has goodish graphics very fun because you can unlock things from cactus jack to t.lc from t.l.c, to new move sets it is so good i play it every day at least 3 hours a day and i go on it most days i only had it for a few weaks and it didnt cost much it has loads of matches from single 1 on 1 to tag team table match ive stopped playing on other games im wanting to finish story mode hey you can also make teams up like the american baddasses (kane & undertaker) billion air trio (stephany mcmahon triple H & kurt angle) thats all ive got to say bye every one hope you enjoyed my review

i think smackdown 2 is one of the best wrestling games on theplaystation. they could of included a cast match (dont confuse
that with casket) or a over the top off with the top. the season mode gets kinda boring after a while, if u could be in all the matches that would be better. I think the makers were trying to get a sequel out to quickly they should have taken more attention to detail, about the characters personality, eg. the rock wouldnt say the match brought out the best best in me he would say somthing along the lines of "he needs to train better to face me in the ring" otherwise a great game.

This is a mad a** game.Graphics,sound,gameplay,originality,lifespan and fun factor all rule.The moves rock.My favourite part in the game was in season mode when Hardyz and Dudleyz had a fued and Dudleyz challenged Hardyz to a ''TAG TEAM TABLE MATCH''now at the end of the match there was a cut scene of Dudleyz 3D'ING Jeff through the table then after Bubba was in his trance thing and D-Von don is table taunt.Now the one thing that i absoulutly hate is that at the end of a match the announces look like pieces of card board.Not moving or anything.But if your a die hard wwf fan like me u must get this game.

I would have given it a 10 if it had not been for two things... In season mode you have to sit and wait while it determines who wins or loses. They have a health bar under the picture of the wrestler. It's not like Smackdown 1 where it just shows winner and loser. Also the loading times and the pictures they show while it's loading. You get really sick looking at the same pictures over and over again. Other than that, it's great. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes wrestling games. For graphics I give it a 8. Sound = 5. That music gets really annoying after a while. Gameplay = 9. Fun = 10.

But on the serious side it is the best WWF game I have ever played on, and I have played a few. You can create your own muscular wrestler, or choose one of the ready made superstars! Below is a few:

Smackdown was the most addictive game i ever played... smackdown 2 is the most addictive game i have ever played now. Everything about the game is ace, it's really realistic, and the range of options is amazing, my best matches is the ladder match, table match, hell all of the special matches.
There are a couple of things though, on season mode, it has to keep loading basically after most matches, the loading time is long than the actual video sequence, and plus I agree with matthew whitworth, the royal rumble gets annoying because i takes ages to load, but overall the game rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the exception of the casket match, Smackdown 2 is pretty solid. From two referees, to a Hardcore title time limit brawl, it's all here. The roster is VERY complete, with the notable exception of Raven and Terri. There are a few chinks in the armor of Smackdown 2 though. When you toss your opponent off the top of the Hell In A Cell, they pop back up almost immediately. You still have to blast your opponent with a weapon about 69 times before they fall. At least 15 backstage areas to carry out yours opponents execution. 100 times better than the original. A pretty quality game!

It is one of the best wrestling games I have ever played on any console in the world. I think that if you own a playstation one and you are a fan of wrestling or just like beating people up, then you definitley shhould save every penny you have got and go out and buy the game!! There are new and improved wrestlers eg: Scotty 2 Hotty, Grand Master Sexay, Chris Benoit and a lot more. There are also hidden wrestlers to be discovered. There are loads more matches to play aswell such as: Hell in Cell, Table matches and Ladder matches. IF YOU SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLL WHAT SMACKDOWN 2 IS COOKIN!!!!
