My Opinion? Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is The Best Playstation Game Yet! |

Let's start of with a big HURRAH! for Neversoft, who once again prove they are the best at what they do. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 follows up the already amazing THPS1 with the coolest game for the Playstation yet. These guys really know what they're doing.
Forget Grind Session, Street Sk8ter 2, Thrasher Skate and Destroy and the tedious 2,3xTreme series. None compare to the control and design of the Tony Hawk series. The first one was (and still is) way cool - the second one is a masterpiece.
No other game has such detailed design. From the high-flying airs to the coccyx-shattering ass plants, you'll be left on the edge of your seat for hours on end. Like your favorite bartender's signature Bloody Mary, it's the perfect mix - in this case arcade and sim - and it tastes great with Beer as well. THPS2 is hard enough to be a challenge, but controlled easily enough to get in a groove and run with it.
And, with the new Skatepark Editor and tons of unlockable secrets, THPS2 has unlimited replay value.
I'll say it again...This is by far the BEST Playtation game, ever.
By the way, I'm in the midst of building a class action lawsuit against Neversoft for my twitching eyes, burning forearms and sore thumbs as well as my burnt-up console, all caused by their highly addictive games. It is the best game I´ve played!I´ve played MGS,FFVII,FFVIII&FFIX,but they are nothing compared to THPS2!It has great music,awesome graphics and
nice tracks! If you ever buy a game,buy THPS2.It has even a Create-a-Skater-mode and a Park Editor!

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is the best game ever!!! You can fly in this game and go to Skate Heaven (If you have the right codes). After about an hour, you will have already finished the first player. My favorite level has to be School 2. There is this secret place that no one knows, unless you get the secret tape in that level. The competitions are way harder than in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. This game seems sooooo much better. If you don't have this game, you better turn off this computer, go to a video game store, and buy this mother f#< remove me > at *ing game. As my brother would say 'This is the sh*t!! You have more clothes and characters to choose from and the graphics are really awsome. I do like the create your own skater mode. The more new skaters, the better. I also think that the cursing in this game is really interesting.

I have only just bought a couple of days ago (15/04/01) and i have already played it a TON of times. It just rocks. I myself had NEVER played TH1 so cant compare the two together, but from what ive seen in the past day, it must be the best sakteboarding game ever made. The graphics are fine, gameplay is excellent and there is a great range of different modes, moves and characters. I have only had it sice yesterday, so i cant comment on what its like from long time use, but i can tell you that i think ill be playing it for a long time to come.

Its got GREAT graphics. The moves are amazing!!!
The stages are BETTER THAN THE LAST.
The players are unique and have their own special way of skating.
If you have an oppurtunity to buy it.
DONT WAIT BUY IT THE MINUTE YOU LAY EYES ON IT.

I find this game very cool .
Noth only cause ith has a COOL career mode , buth also for the single , free and 2 player modes .
Buth one of the most coolest things is the park editor ...
Here you can make your own parks .
One thing i find bad in the game , thath ith can be somethimes very hard ...

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 might be the exact definition of gaming bliss. whether you beleive so or not, think about this detail before you judge. Every "extreme" sports game has been influenced by this classic release since it came out. SSX, Aggresive Inline, and others are direct cousins to Tony Hawk's gameplay and style. The music features some of the best music ever to grace video games. Rage Against the Machine, Styles of Beyond, Naughty by Nature, and so many more make this the game if you want good music. The Graphics pump all that's worth out of the limited playstation processor.
OK, so nice models and sound are groovy, but what makes this game so good is it's gameplay. from collecting cash to racing the timer to get your points in, you will have quite a good time even on free skate. you can make a skater and turn him into a pro. park editor offer great variety in the pieces, and it's fun to be a tester for your masterpeice. The levels are diverse and big. You'll go everywhere from Mexico to a school and even to Skate Planet.
Graphic Snobs may moan and perfectionists will complain, but if you want a game that does everything good in everyway, buy Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. Also, this game is cheap in price, which means the rich and the poor can have this game.

First of all i must say that this is an amazingly good (and addictive) game, it`s the best in its genre that's for sure!!!!!!!
There is many possibilities in this game: Like you choose and buy your own tricks, boards and stats... make your own skater, and your own courses(both REALLY cool)... and of course there is an endless list of secrets and cheats wich you get by playing the game with each one of the many caracthers. Just to mention a few things.
This is a game, much like the first, when that one first arrived, wich has gameplay wich lasts for weeks and weeks to come. BUT, of course it`s not perfect... I can`t give it 10 out of 10, but then I can`t give that score to any other game either, only this game comes really close to the 10.. The reason why it's not perfect is a couple of details, first of all it is the well known problem, when you make your own courses, with the rails and curbs are over the head of the skater in height. And when you make your own skater, why is it not possible to start with all stats at zero?? The sim(ulation) mode which is cool, could have been even better.. and when you make your own courses you should have more possibillities..
But all in all it`s a very cool game!!

TONY HAWKS 2 is an awesome game. You dont even have to be made on skate bording. It's a lot better than Tony Hawk 1. The levels are better the music is better the graphics are better
even the players are better.T he players you can go are Tony Hawk, Bob Burnquist,Steve Gaballero,Karrem Campbell,Rune Glifberg, Erik Koston, Bucky Lasek, Rodny Mullen, Chad Muska, Andrew Reynolds, Geoff Rowley, Elissa Steamer, Jamie Thomas,Officer Dick and Spiderman.

i got the demo for grind session in the mail one time and it was a really bad game compared to this one. thps2 is a really good game and it costs about 40 dollars. it is the best skating game ever, at least until thps3 comes out in november. grind session is an annoying game, there are way too many skaters that i've never heard of, it all takes place in canada, there are only six skaters, and the music is a guy whose voice crackes alot. thps2 is way better in all of those catagories than grind session. tony hawk is better than any skater on gs. no butts about it.

If u thought the first one would never get off the top charts, i cant even explain were this would be.... this is such a versitile game: create your own skater, create your own levels!!!, and use them in the career mode. U can almost never finish this game entirley because there is soo much to do and u get new things u beat the game. The realism of of the moves are really exact but it does have some unreasonable reality (which makes all the more funner) like getting major air!! but having the element of balance, keeps the game in perspective. Having a gap checklist will always keep u busy. anyway theis game is soo great, great music etc. it definately deserves a 10.

This games graphics were cool and it was so much fun to get so high off the ground and do the tricks that i need to learn to do! This is funny but the game tought me how to skateboard better and it got me into it even more. I can't wait until the next Tony Hawk game comes out!

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is by far the best Playstation game I have ever played. It surpasses its predecessor in gameplay, graphics, fun, and learning curve. However, in many levels the pro score challenge alone is over 100,000 points. In THPS, the pro score tape never surpassed 50,000. My biggest complaint with THPS2 is concerning the soundtrack. Although the tracks from Millencolin, Bad Religion, Papa Roach, Rage Against the Machine and Powerman 5000 are awesome, there are way too many hip hop and rap songs which simply don't belong in a skateboarding game. Also, in THPS I enjoyed every song on the soundtrack (which featured Suicide Machines, Vandals, Goldfinger, among others) where in this one I only like about 5 or 6.

THPS2 is one of the best games out. Every Aspect of the game would get top marks from me. The Graphics are twice as good as the last Tony Hawk game. The sound makes you feel like you're really on a skateboard, and its lifespan is huge. You have all the skaters from the original. Plus at least 4 more. And the career mode is a lot better as well. Instead of needing tapes to unlock parks. You need money. Whick you can get by finding the letters of SKATE, finding secret Tapes, or money bonuses along the way.
THPS2 is the best skate game around.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 simply KICKS. It is one of the best(or probably the best) game released on PSX. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 ruled, it had good graphics and an astounding collection of music tracks to listen to, and I can't say anything about gameplay because it is so great. No-one had created such a game. And, to keep us living, there came THPS2. It has very good graphics, incredible gameplay, the musics tracks totally rule, and it even has a demo in it (Matt Hofmann Pro BMX). The thing is, that the game is incredible

After beating the crap out of the first one over and over again, I was excited by the news of a sequel. Almost every sequel includes some new and cool things, like the park editor, but, I just found this game to be somewhat of a repeat. If you are bored with Tony Hawk 1, u might want to rent this one before buying. Graphics are the same as the first, levels weren't innovatively designed as promised, and after reading that many secret areas were accessable, i expected alot. What i got was a few little drab places that were about as exciting and appealing as a Roseanne Barr television concert special. The park editor didn't deliver as well. I wanted more than one level of things to make!!!! IT gets old after a while, and u only have a certain amount of things to place. Sorry, Tony, but next time, throw something more at us than what Tony Hawk 2 did.

I first played the demo several months ago, AND I must say that I was very impressed. The graphics were smooth and the sound fx were cool. I went and bought it the day it was released. To this very day, I play it until sometimes three in the morning. This is so much better then any other skating game out there, even better than THPS! It is sooooooooo addictive. I'd tell anyone to buy it. My only beef is the soundtrack has to many hip-hop songs. Granted a lot of skaters enjoy that stuff, but not this cracker. Tracks 3 and 6 (RATM and PM5k, respectivly) are the best!

Well i own the demo and the full game of this and i thought it was the best skating game ive played so far i gave it 10/10 for everything been given the option to create a character is really cool it has a lot of hip hop music which is cool too. All the boyz from thps 1 are here including some other guys are in here theres new missions you have to do i gave this a 10+ since its so good
