If you dont have the game u need 2 get it. This role-playing games is rtealy fun and the main character Zidanne has folen 4 The Princess (code name - Dagger). You where supposed to kidnap her but as it seams she wants to run away from the castle. You and the Team will go through many encounters with monsters. theres 1 bad thing about this game is u have to get to a moogle to save the game and somethimes they are like 1 hour apart from each other. It is a complicated game and needs 4 disks but its worth it in the End i give ths game a 10/10.

I love this game! The character's profiles and stuff are so cool. I'd have to say that Kuja does look kinda like a girl and the mini-games drive me insane, but the captivating storyline completely makes up for that! I have had huge fights with Final Fantasy X fans, but I'll still stick with IX to the end! Oh and for all you fans, Dagger's real name is Sarah.

I think Final Fantasy IX was the best one out of the whole series. The storyline is great. I would want to keep going to find out what's going to happen next. You can also become attached to the characters, my favorite character is Vivi. The movie graphics are colorful and great. I completed the game twice and am going to play it again for some secrets and hidden items. The music was good I found myself humming to the music as I was playing. The ATB gauge was real helpful at the time, unlike Final Fantasy X; the enemies will keep attacking instead of just standing there until there turn. I loved the whole middle aged aspect and the use of steam and mist subject. I liked how you can control the airship and how you’re free to wander about in the world map, instead of going straight ahead like FFX. I like how each character had there on problem or dilemma. My favorite character problem is Vivi's. The trance is good also, you were able to get way more moves in trance mode in FFIX than in over drive mode in FFX. The only thing I didn’t like was that if your trance gauge reaches max you cant choose whether to use it or not, which means you cant save a trance for a another battle. I love FFIX as i said before it was my favorite out of the whole series. I wish they could make a FFIX for future consoles. That would be cool.

I'm on disk 2 and so far consider this to be a pretty good game. I really like the more medieval settings and less tortured ability system (as compared to VIII). Nice graphics, very nice movies and music. But it doesn't feel like I have much control over the game, which makes mini-game particulary important. Unfortunately it appears that there is a flaw in my game disk. My card game does not adhere to the rules that are outlined in the game guide or the internet sites. For example, when I successfully flip a card, the card to which that one points do NOT usually flip too. So the execution of combos is not possible. I haven't heard anyone else mention this problem, though I know there were a lot of complaints about the card game's random nature. I would really like to be able to play the card game but even so I've been glued to my Playstation since I go FFIX.

I'm now playing FF IX for the 4 time to get All Secrets , but that ExCallibur II IS Hard to get . But I think the cardGame SuX allot , don't like the irretating music . AnywayS it RoX

Okay, I haven't played all FF games, but I have attempted FFVII and FFX, and am almost done with FFVIII. VII and X didn't really keep me interested, but I think FFVIII was the best. This game though, was really good. I really don't see a difference in graphics, I just don't really like anything that isn't 3D like FFX. The storyline was basically easy to follow, but it had some twists in there. I fell in love with all the characters and either you end up loving them, or you end up hating them. I didn't have any problems with the Eidolons, all you have to do is know a little vocabulary, like what "Summon" means and you're good to go. The side quests were fun, I really liked finding Mognet Central and playing Chocobo H&C. This is a great game to get because it's not complicated to use, but it still gives you a little challenge to get through the game. I love it!

This game is well good it took me 19hrs 01mins 51secs to complete it.It has everthing ROMANCE, COMODEY, SORROW, ADVENTURE, FIGHTING and SWEARING.It is better than any game ever.
I like it better than any other FINAL FANTASY's Especially number 8.I have got all the weapons and items possible apart from EXCALABOR 2

This game is beyond cool!!! I liked the plot and all the other stuff my favroite charicter in this game is Zidane hes funny and hes is VERY strong. Id give it 2 thumbs up and a peace sign. The ending left me spechless i was crying alot. Good endings make me cry cause its so romantic!!! A terrific game for all!!!

I've played through this gam a few times only to realize that this game was challengingand fun. The gameplay was wonderful! This by far was one great game. I'm playing it for my 5th time and I was only going to find a way to beat ozma. I still haven't found a way. I think that Steiner is cool at some times... like Zidane {100% cool} and sometimes stupid. But my all time favorite characters/bosses were kuja/trance kuja and NECRON!!! Kuja is one of the coolest characters in the game, right up their wit Zidane! Necron is cool because he is the final boss and is pretty hard to beat. But not as hard as Ozma mind you.

FF9 was an ok game but few people could do summons and magic, in ff7 and ff8 when any one could summon or cast magic. Also on the summons it will only show you their long appearance every once in a while. The summons were the best part in it the graphics were great during the movie part of the game but other that they were a sorry excuse. The characters were ok but like I said only a few people could do summons and magic.

This is a cool game,I think Bahamut looks better then ever, The music is great, Steiner is a cool guy and When your AP goes up you can keep magic forever.The down fall is that everyone gets diffrent magic and Kuja looks like a girl. Over all this was the second best Final Fantasy game ever "Final Fantasy 7 was the Best".

I like ff games but Final Fantasy 9 is the bomb! The grafics are good. The characters are way cool!!! Kupo,kupo,kupo,and kwe,kwe,kwe. I love Chocobos and moogles. I have apet moogle named Moopo. I also have a chocobo named Coco. I have a crush on Dagger and General,Beatrix... I look alot like Zidane,too. My favorite music is when you fight Beatrix. I also love the story line. I love sommoning eidolins but I want to summon the ark.I depend on my attack points and HP/MP.My friends and I call Steiner an idiot but at the middle of disk three he changes . The battle system is great.The ability system is great.

Final Fantasy IX totally rules..!!.. Although its graphics are kinda backward and the storyline is not as good as Final Fantasy 10, its still unique o its own.. It has all these fun mini-games that really challenge the mind and is really addictive.. The only thing that really sux is that their damage is totally pathetic.. they all cant go over 9999.. But on the whole its a cool game worth playing..

simply it sucked im not dissing it i love final fantasy but when it comes down to it it and ff8 dont even compare to ff7 ff10 or ff10x2 or ff6[my fav} but after all i stuck with it to the end and it wound up ok i liked the part where u get ark hes the collest summon but not as cool as bahamut ZERO on ff7 but seriously everyone this game is crap compared tothe up and coming ones so get real im not tryin to be mean this is just what i think k

This game is a perfect blend of the two previous FF games. FF7 and FF8 are gems in their own right, but FF9 took the best of each and made it its own. FF9 has great music, good graphics, wonderful characters, and a storyline that will keep you coming back for more. Even though the game didn't get the attention the other 2 games did, it is still a big improvment over the other two games. FF9 keeps up the Squaresoft tradition of high replay value. The game has soooo many secrets, you will play through it to make sure you found them all. So, in closing, the game has the best of the old FFs, and the best of the recent FFs. It is definitely worth owning, and should make a lovely addition to anyones collection.

Introduction:
Final Fantasy VII had a great storyline, but the graphics... Final Fantasy VIII had superb graphics, but the storyline was a disaster (the only good thing about FF8 was Quistis! :P ). But, the game that took the advantages of both and left the disadvantages behind to make Final Fantasy IX!
Storyline:
The game focuses around all the characters, but the spotlight focuses mostly on Zidane, Garnet/Dagger, Vivi, and Eiko. Anyway, the storyline is what makes a game interesting and I give the storyline an A.
Graphics:
The graphics are less advanced than FF8, but more advanced than FF7, but just the same, the graphics made the game fun to look at. The FMVs are cool to watch. I give the graphics an A-.
Sound:
All of it is great! The boss theme is one of my favorites! I love the World music! The Black Mage Village Theme is hip and catchy! A+!
Playability and Life:
The game may be short, but the clock could easily max out with Chocobo Hot & Cold, Mognet, Frog Catching, Treno Auction, and exploring the world. I'd have to say B+.
Characters:
Did Squaresoft really have to add Quina? YEAH!!! Every character is unique in his/her way. The only flaw in characters is what Quina is. Is s/he a male or female! Another flaw is even though every character has their own skills, Garnet/Dagger and Eiko both have the same skills and each can equip a racket. A in characters.
Summoning (or GFs or eidolons):
Summoning is great but I'd rather stick with the full sequences! Anyway, the eidolons are great. But, why did they have to get rid of Alexaxnder!! A-!
Overall:
Final Fantasy IX gets a 10 out of 10 because it totally rules! Quite possibly the last good FF game as FFX doesn't meet the fans' needs, and FFXI, which is online game... That does it on my review!

Final Fantasy IX is one of the absolute GREATEST games that i've ever played. The graphics were awesome, the storyline was one of the best that i have seen out of lots of games. I bought the game when it just came out for $49.95, and it was worth every single penny!!! Final Fntasy VII, and X were very good, but this game outrates them by so many points that it's not even funny!!I played this game so many times, and i will continue to play it! it never gets boring to me!! i loved the cast of charcters,and the best thing about the game is how they kept you on suspense of what Zidane actually was. I give this game a rating of tem points every time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
