Hello I like Final Fantasy 9 because it is such a great game it was the frist time I have ever played an Final Fantasy game but i tryed the rest but they all seemed to hard so I stuk with Final Fantasy 9.
My favorite characters are Adelbert Steiner Amarant Coral Eiko Crol Ferya Crescent, and Garnet Qunia and Zidane an Vivi Quina's okay I mean she or he brang out the funnyest in the game he or she never made sence lol and about Kuja well he's mean that's the only reason why I dont like him, The was only one amasing this that I htought was neat when I played FF9(Final Fantasy 9) there was this girl that looked just like me and it was the Princess Garnet. The reason why I like this game so much is becuase I relate to it alot I im alot like garnet and i im just like all the people in ff9 some times.
The things I like to do are helping people never give up on things that are important to you and I like going on adeventures and going out side I live in a small home town called Norwich New York and it's peaceful Some times I like to chat on AOL and My screen name is Sarah Til Perry and also anorther thing Garnets mittle name is Til and that's my Mittel name to...Well thank you for reading my thing about why I like FF9 and if you want and you like Final Fantasy 9 I wouldn't mind if you chated with me on AOL thanks for reading...

This is a cool game,I think Bahamut looks better then ever, The music is great, Steiner is a cool guy and When your AP goes up you can keep magic forever.The down fall is that everyone gets diffrent magic and Kuja looks like a girl. Over all this was the second best Final Fantasy game ever "Final Fantasy 7 was the Best".

Okay, I haven't played all FF games, but I have attempted FFVII and FFX, and am almost done with FFVIII. VII and X didn't really keep me interested, but I think FFVIII was the best. This game though, was really good. I really don't see a difference in graphics, I just don't really like anything that isn't 3D like FFX. The storyline was basically easy to follow, but it had some twists in there. I fell in love with all the characters and either you end up loving them, or you end up hating them. I didn't have any problems with the Eidolons, all you have to do is know a little vocabulary, like what "Summon" means and you're good to go. The side quests were fun, I really liked finding Mognet Central and playing Chocobo H&C. This is a great game to get because it's not complicated to use, but it still gives you a little challenge to get through the game. I love it!

I really Like Final Fantasy and I think FF IX and FF VIII were the Best .
I'm now playing FF IX for the 4 time to get All Secrets , but that ExCallibur II IS Hard to get . But I think the cardGame SuX allot , don't like the irretating music . AnywayS it RoX

Final Fantasy IX is alright,but the graphics aren't that good except in some of the FMVs.I mean they could make it look a little more real! The sound is ok, but it gets real annoying! The same beats over and over and over, it gets on my nerves. They should have a different theme for each boss, semi-boss, and each different area for the regular battles,and instead of typing the words they should've just used more discs and had them say the words. The gameplay is alright, but it takes too long in waiting for your turn to strike. I think that it's kind of tacky that you can't jump where you want and can't climb mountains without a chocobo with the special powers. The life span is too short. The amount of HP added for each level should be much higher. And why when you get annihilated do you have to go all the back to the main load screen. They should've made it so you would just go straight to where you last saved. The fun factor I would say is maybe on the weak side, I mean you can easily get into it, but unless your'e always really bored it gets annoying. Any body can enjoy it, but not many can stay enterested for a VERY long time. The originality is amazing,and it's kind of cool how they show a small hint of FF8 in the story line! But I think that there should be more of the characters from the previous game. I mean it's a series so it should be more linked together in each episode! It's almost worth the money, ALMOST!!! BUT, I think everyone, old enough to understand it, should play it and see what they think. Vivas,Zidane,And Garnet ROCK, and the others are alright.

Look. Plain and simple. This is the worst piece of f#< remove me > at %ing sh#< remove me > at on the entire planet!!!!!! It was a waste of $20 bucks. FF7 and FF8 and FF10 were really good. But not this crap! The graphics were crap, the sound was crap, the gameplay...well...CRAP, lifespan was crap, no fun to slow(more crap for you), and yes it was orginal, because it sucked more than anything in the whole goddamn freak'in world. The characters were stupid. I think the main character was original. I'll give you that. But everyone else was stupid. The summons were were a piece of...ugh...I'm getting tired of saying this...CRAP! They tried to make them look fancy, but with cruddy graphics, how can they? I am sorry, but this game was too easy also. Fight queer ass Kuja once in the end and that is it? At least in FF7 you fight Sephiroth twice and in FF8 you fight Ultimecia, Griever, the merged version between them and the final form of Ultimecia. Couldn't they do that for FF9? Also, the battles...like I said before were too slow. And I had kick ass characters. But yet I still believed it was a peice of damn crap. Don't buy it. Not worth the time. Unless you like stupid games which require no thinking. I've got to say, Square, you've disappointed me. FF VII, VIII and X Rules! Screw FF9!

As a rpg fan and all time Final Fantasy fan owning all fantasy games including FF tactics, 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9., ff tactics for gameboy... I think final fantasy 9 has go to be the worst compared to the other final fantasies and rpgs alike. The one thing that really annoyed me was how stupid the character looks .. they all look like animals dayum.. Amarant does look like a gorilla, Quina is some blob of pink, eiko's a lil midget, freya's a walking chicken, and ZIDANE is a monkey? at least come up with a better look for the main char. since he'l be there for the whole game. At least Cloud and Squall looks cool or decent.. but a monkey>?? I think squaresoft was drunk while they made this. The graphics and sound was decent, storyline and originality is pathetic.. (the usual princess/princess rescue case) , lifespan is short and fun factor is 3/4? I think the game was decent but compared to all the other RPGS i played, this one seemed pretty pathetic and childish for the younger generation (since the chars look so kiddish and small) Garnet is suppose to be 17/teenager when she looks 10 years old.. *Weird*

Don't get me wrong. I like FF9. I mean I didn't get much of anything since playing it. Storyline's OK. Music's fantastic. But the graphics suck big time. No sense of 3D, lack of colour contrast & dull. The ending's quite touching though.
But compared with the likes of FFVII, FFVIII & even Chronocross, FFIX has a long way to go. Guys at Squaresoft better buck up.
I'd say they best RPG in the world would be FFVII, FFVIII, Chronocross, FFVX &......
Maybe it's they attention they put on FFX too much till they compromised on the FFIX. Who knows.

I cant understand all these amazing reviwws of this game! Practically every review here says its perfect, when in actual fact its crud. The graphics are the worst i have seen in ages (particularly after playing the marvelous ff10), the story is pathetic and the whole beginning seems a waste of time. The ap system and abilities from itms system is confusing, time wasting and down right stupid. In my opinion this is by far the worst final fantasy game, everything about it annoys me (particularly the rubbish graphics, and that damn monkey!)

This game is well good it took me 19hrs 01mins 51secs to complete it.It has everthing ROMANCE, COMODEY, SORROW, ADVENTURE, FIGHTING and SWEARING.It is better than any game ever.
I like it better than any other FINAL FANTASY's Especially number 8.I have got all the weapons and items possible apart from EXCALABOR 2

I totally put this game away at one point for over a year. I then decided that not clearing a final fantasy was not an option. The game bored me to death. The main character was a what? He's a damn monkey boy. I hated him. I had no interest in building stats or at some points even playing the game. It was with great pain, that I cleared this game. The ending sucks and it was clearly designed to please a 10 year old. Unfortunantly I'm a little older, so I couldn't dumb myself down enough to enjoy this game.

I thought this one had to be the worst FF game so far the characters were ok except ok Dagger was a princess but come on the game was not called Dagger it had both Zidane and Steiner going after her for most of the game which was totally boring i hated it but i would not sell it still its a game from Squaresoft and quite frankley id buy any Squaresoft game wheather it were good or bad. Other than that FF9 had awsome graphics and gameplay and is well worth playing over and over except i wouldnt lets hope Square get back and pull of a better one than this
You can try buying it but to me it only gets a
3/10 FF9!

i am a huge fan of final fantasy games. i have final fantasy 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and am getting future releases, but this game is appaulling. the graphics are terribble, and the characters look wierd, zidane looks like a girl, dagger looks gay, steiner looks like buzz lightyear and ammarant like a gorrila! the only good character is vivi!the sound is like a drum in your ears, you could probably go deaf from it. the game play is very poor, especially the story, the life span is big, but you get bored in a few seconds of playing it because it is the most cheesy, old fashioned game ever.the fun factor, well, it would get a 0/10 from me. the game is nothing like the other final fantasy games, because the others were interesting. you get nothing for your money. this is the worst game ever. only get it if you are a collector of the series. it is like poison. if you get it for a birthday or christmas, i feel your pain!!!! this is definetly the worst game i have ever played in my life, and there is nothing good about it. everybody who rates it high, has a serious problem, no body should like this game! yuck, no more talk about it, please!!!!

good graphics and good sound dont make up for the horrible story, awful characters(minus zidane, try and name a good one.....Quina? No try again). Every time i played this game i felt bad. Final fantasy vii was the ultimate, i suggest that everyone play that instead. Final fantasy ix steals hours of your life that you can't get back.
