Rampage Through Time is the third in line of 4 games about giant, angry, radioactive monsters. | | Magnus from Middletown, NY, USA says (28/Jun/2002): | This game is a very good one. The graphics are a definite improvement over the original Rampage: World tour, as well as Rampage II: Universal tour. The sound, as well was wonderful. The crashing and terrified screaming really get you into the game. If you played the previous games on the PSX, you'll have no problem at all. But, if you are a veteran rampager from the N64 the controls are very confusing. The basic premise, however is the same. You have some big, angry monsters, Lizzie, George and Ralph. And you blow stuff up. That's basically the first game. The second however, features threen new beasts on a rescue mission to save Lizzie George and Ralph. They include Curtis the Huge Rat, Boris the Colossal Rhino, and Ruby the Towering Lobster. This one also introduces Myukus the Titanic Alien Cyclops. For those of you not well versed in the ways of Greek myth, a cyclops is a one eyed cannibal. Rampage II also introduces the power meter and special attacks suited to each character's specialty. Ralph's howl, Boris' horn and Ruby's pincers all make formidable weapons. Now we have Rampage through time. Not much has changed with the exception of those infuriating mini-games that are required to be won in order to win a three city timezone (for example Greek: Athens, Delphi, Sparta). If you lose the minigame you must start the timezone over. A new character is introduced, Harley the Humongous Boar. The single player mode is always played against 2 compu players. Whomever gets the most done of one category ( building bombin', buddy bashin', people eatin') gets a star, 9 in all. Stars give an advantage in the minigame ahead. Tournament mode is like a multiplayer mode, challenge is mimigame practice. WARNING TO ALL: Renniasance's minigame is the hardest. Three boss levels replace minigames in the secret levels, Jurassic, Neo Future ansd ScumLabs. All in all this game is probably the best in the series (the fourth is all mimigames). P.s.- try to guess what aircraft each timezone will have. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
