After a long wait to get Dance Dance Revolution to the U.S., I finally got it. You can play this game with your handheld controller just like any other game but this game is really boring if you do so. So for the sake of the entertainment, I cannot recommend the floor pads to go with the game enough. The pads only cost about 25 to 35 dollars. (which is an excellant deal considering the enjoyment you'll get out of them). I recommend that you get two pads if you have a sibling or any friends. If you don't have any friends or siblings, get two pads anyway so you can play the cool double mode that requires two pads. The pads are also foldable so you can transport them easily.
Okay,now that I've expressed my deep love for this game and its controller, here are the gripes that I have about it. The home version of the pad is weaker that the arcade pads which are made of metal. If you stomp on the panels too hard for too long, you can risk damaging your pad. Also the pad will slide around a lot for hardcore dancers. Even though the pad is packaged with sticky pads for tiled floors, they will wear out quickly. They ar also no use on carpeted floors. The sliding on the floor can be fixed by putting duck tape on the edges of the pad.
All in all, this controller is very unique,and fun to use. Even though it might have its little problems, they can all be easily fixed.This controller is a definite must buy for anyone that has Dance Dance Revolution.

i love the dance mat its soooo cool. i have mastered it and can do expert! i am trying to find cheats for the mat cause i want the same songs as the ones in the arcade. i strongly recomend the mat to anyone who loves dancing it more experience! overall i love the mat its my life! cheryl xxxx

This pad sucks..the inside sheet that activates the arrow u hit..gets ripped and slides to the front of the pad inside...ive only had it for 3 days..and it already ripped...im so f-ing pissed!
-DONT BUY THE DDR PAD CONTROLLER...ITS A RIP OFF!!
